Temple Spa Self Defence Cream | QueenBeady

temple spa self defence spf30

I turned 26 on Wednesday just passed. I had a mini-meltdown about turning twenty five. What was I doing with my life? Where had that quarter of a century gone? I was in turmoil. But this year I reached my twenty-sixth year without a care in the world. This time, I knew it was about making the most of my years rather than worrying about them. With that in mind I realised I need to now start treating my body as though it were a temple (excuse the pun!) so when Temple Spa got in touch with me to see if I would test drive some of their skincare such as the Self Defence Cream, I felt obliged to say yes. After all, this was a good place to start on looking after myself a little better.

You’ll probably be very familiar with Temple Spa; they are a great lifestyle brand that can be found gracing lots of luxury hotel bathrooms. They are all about treating yourself with the utmost care & attention and living life to the full. I love the motto and the fact it’s engrained on their packaging. Beauty doesn’t feature very much on my blog, but I felt it was a good brand to test-drive. It’s not a brand that you regularly find on the high street so it’s great that they are reaching out to bloggers to review it.

I love the packaging, purely because it’s nice and minimal. It does what it says on the tin. With a really good explanation of what the product is made of it makes it easier for me to quickly decide if its something that is going to work for my skin-type. The bottle is really smooth and has a pump action lid, making application extremely easy to do when your hands are full.

Unfortunately I suffer terribly from dry skin during the winter months. The cold air really dries out my skin and often find myself trying to find the perfect moisturiser to make my skin smooth again. Some brands work and others don’t and it’s just a waiting game to see what works and what doesn’t. I’ve been applying the SPF30 self defence cream for the last week now & I have noticed my skin is visibly smoother and I’m not suffering from dry skin as I would at this time of year. Whilst it’s not perfect its a great tool to keep it under control, I imagine with further use throughout Winter it will get much better.

Approaching my late twenties it’s more apparent that I do need to start looking after myself and more importantly my skin, especially when on holiday. We tend to travel abroad a lot throughout the year so to have a self defence cream for my face with an SPF of 30 is great. It means that my skin can have plenty of protection whilst I can still enjoy the sunshine without causing too much damage to my skin.

It’s approximately £34 to purchase, and whilst I feel that is a little over priced you do need to pay for a good cream to work and it does for me, so instead of picking up those must pair of boots (that I probably so desperately need!) I’ll think twice and possibly spend my money on skincare.

Have you tried any of the Temple Spa products or the Temple Spa Self Defence Cream? Did they work for you or not? I’d love to know.

You definitely have a great outlook on life and I’m glad you turned 26 without a care! This cream sounds really good and although it’s more expensive, sometimes it’s worth investing 🙂 xx

Aw thank you. I guess as I get older age just becomes a number doesn’t it? Haha! I’ve decided that that is what I am to do when I take care of myself, invest in my skin & I’ll be investing in myself!

Happy 26! I too suffer with dry skin, especially in the colder months (or from air con!) so agree that a good moisturiser is a must! I love the simple packaging on this too 🙂

Finally someone who has also tried Templa Spa!! I love it and have tried almost everything from there. One of my favourites is Moisture Matte which is so good for oily skin (even if you don’t have oily skin its such a fab primer). It’s such an expensive treat yourself brand. I really recommend the Purification face mask it’s absolutely amazing!! Big recommendation x

YAYYYYY! It really surprises me that more people haven’t. Ooh that’s interesting. I’m more of a dry skin person, but it’s worth noting if I need to suggest something to someone! Thanks for stopping by Neve!
