WHY IT’S OKAY TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON HOLIDAY | QUEENBEADY

If you’d have told me back in January 2016 when I booked our holiday to the Dominican Republic through Ice Lolly, I’d have thought you were mad telling me that we’d spend a week of doing nothing. I’d have laughed in your face with a big ol’ LOLZA. You see, as much as holidays are for relaxing we often find ourselves adventuring out a bit and very rarely spend a week doing sweet F.A. Sadly, I was struck down with a bout of V&D due to exhaustion (my body just decided to give up on me) I was reduced to staying close to the hotel room, you know, just in case.

DINNER AT LA ROTONDE, NEGRESCO HOTEL NICE | QUEENBEADY

Imagine all your wildest, childhood dreams mixed with the finest food you would possibly ever taste. Stop. You’ve just imagined the La Rotonde at The Negresco Hotel, Nice. This little slice of wonder is situated on Nice’s seafront promenade with gorgeous views out to sea. One of two restaurants at the Negresco Hotel (which I might add does divine cocktails and definitely worth a splurge one night to experience the place) the La Rotonde is set out like a fairground carousel, complete even with carousel horses. Did I just enter Disneyland on the South of France?

NICE PHOTO DIARY | QUEENBEADY

The moment we glided over the French Riviera on our descent, with the blue, crystal water and super yachts beneath us it appeared we had already entered heaven without even touching down yet. I’d been invited kindly by UniversityRooms.com to review some of their accommodation for a weekend and boy was I excited to arrive in the throws of this beautiful, elegant town. It was like Nice welcomed us with open arms. The sun beating down as we pounded the pavements to our apartment and the sea lapping against the pebble beach to our left. I uttered the words “I don’t want to go home” before we had even been there 15 minutes.

GALS. Listen up. I don’t know about you, but I love a good pair of shoes. Finding that perfect fit is brilliant and don’t get me started on handbags. I’m easily pleased. However, there is one thing that get’s me even more giddy and that’s finding a pair of sunglasses that match my face shape. I really struggle and I mean REALLY struggle. I have long struggled to find a pair of shades that suit my pea-head face and I believe I have found them in the form of the Erika Raybans in the #SGSFaceShape challenge. COME WITH ME TO NICE VLOG | QUEENBEADY

I wanted to start my Nice themed content with my Vlog. I’ve started to find so much joy in shooting videos along the way and coming home to edit them. It’s another creative outlet that I’ve become to love more & more. I prolonged adding any of my Nice content for a few weeks after the traumatic attack on the City. I feel now is a good time to start sharing with you some of the amazing sights we came across along the way. I can’t wait to share my photo diaries, hints & tips and more in future posts.
