    Double Denim ASOS
Suede Coat Mango | Denim Shirt ASOS | Jeans Armani | Shoes Dorothy Perkins

Yes, I’ve been living under a rock for the last year. I’ve never picked up on the double denim craze, but when I saw that ASOS had this lovely denim shirt in the sale it was pretty hard to resist. I never really thought it would work on a more curvier girl like myself, and whilst I’ll not look like the models on the runway or in the Levis campaigns I thought I dug it pretty well. You see, it falls back in to that 70’s style category that I seem to love so much. My wardrobe is 95% filled with suede, cord and those brown/red colours at the moment. I just don’t seem to be able to move from the style & it’s proven that it’s to stay a while longer with this gracing every high street shop for the last year or so.

ASOS New Look Faux Fur Gilet

Faux Fur Gilet New Look at ASOS | Top Boohoo | Jeans Primark | Boots F&F Clothing at Tesco | Watch Olivia Burton

It’s one of those funny stages of the year, when you look outside your window at 7am in the morning you can see nothing but fog for miles but by lunchtime the sun is out and it’s sweltering, I mean how on earth are you meant to plan your wardrobe based on this? When payday hit I knew it was time to add some basics to my wardrobe that would see me through this turbulent period. I wanted a thin roll neck and Boohoo answered my prayers with this grey version that I’ve found myself reaching for most days for work. It’s a nice light material but the long sleeves come in handy for when it is a little cooler. I paired it with this gorgeous new faux fur gilet, it’s actually from the New Look range on ASOS. I tried to find it direct with New Look but couldn’t seem to find the same version so I added this to my online basket straight away. It’s super cosy!

Daniel Footwear, mango embroidered top and topshop denim skirt 2

Top Mango | Denim Skirt Topshop | Sandals C/O Daniel Footwear | Sunglasses Next | Watch Olivia Burton

If I could put in to words how much I love this outfit I’d be writing a sonnet or proclaiming my love in some linguistic prose that was completely off the wall. But, I’m just going to say that I am madly, deeply in love with this folksy print top, that’s reminiscent of the tops you find hanging from market stalls down windy, hilltop Greek streets. Paired with my brand new A-line, button down skirt and these sandals from Daniel Footwear, I practically live in these slip on sliders because they are so comfy & they also have really great support because they are moulded to the shape of foot. All of this together creates a real 70’s vibe too which I am loving! I have to stop myself from reaching for this outfit every time I open my wardrobe!

    Striped Mango Dress 4

You know it, I know it. I’m a self-confessed stripe whore, a horizontal line addict. I just can’t get enough. If I see stripes, I need it. I don’t know what it is, or why? But it’s a pattern that just has me hanging off it’s every word. I love this dress, you will have before seen it moons ago when I styled it completely differently, here. I hope to god since then (in that small space of time) that my blog has grown wings and completely revamped itself, even if it’s just a bit.

I’m a petite girl in height, but what I lack in centimetres there I certainly make up for them round the hips. I find it tremendously difficult to dress for my shape, big bust, tiny waist and wide hips, plus my bodies decision to be vertically challenged – where is my middle ground? Slowly, but surely I’m starting to realise what looks good on my body. I need to try and steer clear of overly baggy outfits that don’t drown me. I know stripes work well with my physique too but there’s only so much Breton that can be in one girls life! With it now being summer it’s also time to inject some colour in to my life too…
