Party season is upon us. Office Christmas parties, family get together’s and everything in between there has to be an outfit for every occasion (or is that just me? Whoops!) I don’t know about you but at this time of year I need to be prepared. I always want a new dress for each event because I love shopping (and it gives me a little thrill each time) but when it’s coming up to Christmas, each pay packet is spent on presents for others (because I’m just a nice kinda gal) you can’t possibly have everything. If you’re anything like me though, you will spend hours a day a week flicking through online shopping apps to ease the shopping blues.

Black Friday is upon us, people going crazy for all the deals. Except me, I’m sat snuggly and warm in my cosy knit jumper, cup of tea in hand and laptop fired up. I’m shopping from the comfort from my own home without all the squawking shoppers on the high street. Blissful. Shoes are my vice, 100%. You can never go wrong with a pair of shoes. Generally you can get a pair of shoes to fit and there’s no crying about being able to do up a zip because you ate one too many 32 chicken nugget boxes (we’ve all been there) whilst crying dramatically in to your full length mirror. That’s why shoes will forever be my wardrobe favourites. And lets face it, these Ego embroidered boots are OUT OF THIS WORLD.

If there’s two passions in my life, it’s fashion and travel. Combine the two and imagine the element I would be in. Well, that happened. Yes it did. Can you see my little face sat behind this laptop now? Yes, I’m grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Mid September I collab’ed with Virgin Trains East Coast  and Pretty Little Thing to find the “most stylist traveller” at Leeds Train Station. Boy, was it exciting. Virgin East Coast offer a wide range of UK destinations on their train journey’s and the prices are pretty phenomenal too. I’m already planning a trip to Edinburgh or London to take advantage of their direct routes from Leeds.

I’m sure, most people who read this blog are bloggers too so I know you’ll understand when I say, “GIRL, I AM STUCK IN A RUT.” Every now & then throughout the year I find myself really struggling for content. My mind closes up on me and says “Not today Bee. Not today.” meaning no amount of word vomiting can create a coherent blog post. Except, I know I’m word vomiting now about not being able to word vomit. Sorry, did I just “inception” you right there? We’ve all been there. Some weeks I could create content for days and have scheduled posts ready and raring to go at every turn, except recently I’ve hit my half-yearly slump.

Growing up we are always finding ways to fit in, be the best and generally muddling through our teenage lives without trying (but failing) to F up everything. I’ve spoken on here before about how my teenage years were riddled with confusion. One minute I’d find my tribe and the next I wasn’t welcome. It was hard. I’m confident, not scared to stand up for what I believe in, yet I’m plagued with worrying about the aftermath of that. As I’ve grown older I’ve found my voice a little bit more and the best way to use it, funnily enough, this blog is where I let my creative juices flow. Whilst I do wish I had certain things – “Hello, lottery win, where are ya?” I’ve managed to carve something of a life that I can feel content with. I’ve got a whistle stop tour of how you can create a more chilled out, stress-free, content life for yourself.
