Having the opportunity to travel is an absolute blessing and with every trip I take I thank my lucky stars that I’m fortunate enough to be able to travel the globe as much as I do. And with each trip comes some amazing memories, but there’s certain ones that will always stick out in my mind as being right up there as my top 5 travel moments of all time!
After packing up our bags, not to board a flight but to move home, a (teeny-teeny-teeny) part of me was kicking myself that I’d not indulged in as much travel as I’d have liked in 2018, it was purely down to the house move that we had to reign in any travelling on many, excessive holidays throughout the year. Instead we focussed on two, very extravagant trips abroad in the first half of the year before we bought the house, which I think has resulted in me feeling totally burnt out towards the back-end of this year. Once I sat down and listed out where we had travelled to and the fabulous press trips I’ve also been on around the UK I started to feel quite grateful that we’d be fortunate enough to fit what we did in and around our very stressful house move.
When we travelled to Rome back in March, I thought my travel content would be going crazy, but truth be told I took that many photos I found it difficult to sift through them and actually work out a steady stream of blog posts for you. I’m hoping now I’ve done that, slowly but surely, the posts will start coming through. But before we boarded the plane to the capital city, I had so many pre-conceived ideas about the place, that some of it I just did not expect.
