    LET’S CATCH UP

WOW. It seems such a long time ago since I wrote a post like this, I’ve almost forgotten how to do them. Hours spent curating travel content over the last six months (dipping my toes in and out from time to time) has meant there’s been very little space for these catch up style posts! So excuse the self-indulgence of this post. Life has been somewhat hectic and also come to a little standstill at the same time over the last couple of months that my mindset just hasn’t been A-Okay! Now that I’ve acknowledged my life felt like it was taking a nosedive I’ve taken a bit more control over it.

So, let’s catch up shall we?

    THE QUEENBEADY COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER

I can hear it, in that lady’s, Cornish, high-pitched voice that was played on Radio 1 over and over again when they announced a snap general election.

    “Not another one?!”

    (If you know, you know.)

Okay, so every man and their dog has a newsletter these days & you might think you don’t need another one in your life. You don’t need the self-indulgent posts that fill your inbox on a weekly basis. I get it. They are a bit of a chore but I’m really hoping that mine might make you want to click subscribe and not roll your eyes!

I’m sorry to be so crass in the opening title of this post, but I think it really needed to be written just so I follow through on this post. I also think I need to apologise for the amount of blog posts that start with “The Importance Of…” and then I end up going off on some sort of wild tangent, but I’ll let it slide because it makes for a good blog post. It’s just in my latter twenties (eurgh – that sounds so scary to say) I’m starting to realise so much about myself and my daily surroundings, and now that I’ve started to accept it I’ve found that my anxiety is actually starting to calm down.

My brain is now mentally taking its own “woo-saa” approach to life and it’s never been so clear that there’s a huge importance to letting shit go…

STUCK IN A RUT AND NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO? | QUEENBEADY

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

This blog has been my baby for a good seven years. And whilst, it’s had it’s peaks and troughs it’s been something constant throughout those said years. There’s been long illnesses, loss of loved ones, break up of friendships, job changes and more so it’s easy to feel like this space on the web offers me something when there are both life-shattering and life-changing events going on around me. So, why do I feel so lost with it all and feel stuck in a major rut?

As a young teenager I’d spend many a weekend buying myself a £1 day rover to Monks Cross Shopping Park so I could browse all the shops. Sadly, that would be with very little money, but the £5 my mum would give me would always cover a Maccy D’s burger and some bits and bobs from Claire’s Accessories to fulfil my ever-growing shopping addiction. (Clearly I started from a young age.) As I’ve watched some shops come and go, the likes of Topshop and New Look and more have always been permanent fixtures and with the arrival of H&M and Primark it has gotten even more interesting over the last few years. So, when I was asked to take part in the #MonksCrossStyleHacks campaign you can bet your bottom dollar I was on board!
