I’m sure, most people who read this blog are bloggers too so I know you’ll understand when I say, “GIRL, I AM STUCK IN A RUT.” Every now & then throughout the year I find myself really struggling for content. My mind closes up on me and says “Not today Bee. Not today.” meaning no amount of word vomiting can create a coherent blog post. Except, I know I’m word vomiting now about not being able to word vomit. Sorry, did I just “inception” you right there? We’ve all been there. Some weeks I could create content for days and have scheduled posts ready and raring to go at every turn, except recently I’ve hit my half-yearly slump.

After heading to Brunch at Ox Club, Headrow House on Saturday with Sophie, Jenna and Carrie-Anne it seemed rude not to make the most of the white-washed walls that greet you at this super-cool new Leeds venue, to create the perfect ”OOTD” post. Saturday was a pretty full on day, with a leisurely brunch in the morning with good friends, it was a dash across town to #LeedsXmasMeet and then after that, another hop, skip and jump to the #LaRedouteBloggerXmasParty. It was all systems go and doing it on a hangover was pretty testing at times. I’m pretty sure it was a little daring to do outfit shots of a tight dress with a carb-filled tummy, but heck, who the hell cares. What is perfection anyway?

Dress C/O Joy The Store | Necklace C/O Joy The Store | Shoes New Look

For me, as soon as Leeds Festival has been and gone over August bank holiday weekend, it’s Autumn. Suddenly the temperatures dip, the nights start drawing in a lot earlier and the leaves are illusively turning brown. Whilst the majority of Summer Wedding season is over, there are still a few lovely crisp, autumnal weddings to be had and we had one this weekend no less. I was delighted that I had been given the chance to sort my AW15 wardrobe by being tasked with transitioning to Autumn with Joy The Store. It was a perfect opportunity to road test this gorgeous dress from the Louche range.

I don’t know what it is about the 90’s vibe that we all love? The re-introduction of Clueless (thanks to Iggy’s ”I’m so fancy” summer hit) has reignited that love/hate relationship with all the tackiness that comes with the era of boy bands, inflatable chairs, lava lamps and any other aptly 90’s themed item you can think of. But I do know that I love the monochrome look, it’s at the forefront of fashion at the moment but I’m seeing it in a really ”androgynous” style too. I thought it was time to put a playful twist on it! My pleather skirt from Primark was a steal in the sales just before Christmas at a mere £3 even if I wore it once it was still going to have been worth it. The stripes are everywhere, I just love how typically Parisian it is – even my Mum comments on how much I wear stripes. Is it time to stop wearing them? Nah, I didn’t think so! This cardi/jacket is something I can’t live without, I picked this up on eBay & I constantly lean to it when I want a light jacket that isn’t too formal but not too casual! The boucle pattern is what does it for me I think. Have you got any classic ”decade” outfits that you go for? I see the 1970’s style is making a revival too, so get those bell bottoms out quick!

Jumper Zara | Bag Charity Shop | Leggings Primark | Trainers Nike Dunks from eBay

If there is something that is always present on the style scene it’s the Sports Luxe & Street Style phenomens. Sports Luxe is that structured appeal mixed with the freshest sports brands thrown in to the mix and Street Style just screams ‘’out there’’ whoever rocks this style they are not afraid to completely push the boundaries.

I thought, ‘’Hey, why not mash up the two for my next blog post?’’  so I set to it.

My jumper is a classic cable knit jumper from Zara which I found on eBay for only 99p! I can see this being worn alot during the winter months because it is just so cosy and pretty much goes with anything. How perfect?

I’ve had my Nike Dunks at the back of my wardrobe for a while, initially bought from eBay for Leeds Fest 2013 we battled a humongous amount of mud that year so there was no way that I wanted to ruin these classic pieces of footwear. I see kids wearing them all the time & wonder if my 24 year old self is maybe a little bit too old for them, however, I think I’ve managed to get the look right without looking like a 12 year old in the process.

Of course my outfit is never complete without finding a little gem of a bargain and that has to be my little mustard yellow bag that I found in a local charity shop for £2.

I’m frantically keeping up to date with #LFW tweets and posts this weekend, just wishing I could be there. I couldn’t believe it when an invite arrived in my inbox last week but sadly I just did not have the time, nor money, to get myself down to London at such short notice. Fingers crossed next year I get another and I can be joining all the fashionistas then?

Have you been to London Fashion Week this year? If so, what have been your favourite shows and best street style looks?
