Today was my final day in travel. I’ve been in travel since I was 17 & I’m nearly 25 so the last 8 years have been devoted to learning about new destinations and the new cruise ships & aircraft that have entered the market.

It’s going to be weird not being the in the know but now I will be able to afford to go on all these pretty holidays rather than dream about them whilst I sell it to another (very rude or undeserving!) customer. Don’t get me wrong, I have some clients that are now find friends – one whom I affectionately call “Grandad”. So I do have some fond memories

I’ve been thoroughly spoilt by my colleagues today as you can see above. So much pretty for one photo, don’t you think? My favourite sits pretty there, Prosecco! All I can say is NOM NOM!

I’ve had to change careers to better myself & also do something that I’ve never done before (but have never been given the chance!) – so what I’m saying to you all is Never give up (& never look back – Haim quote right there BABY!) Always keep trying. Something will always pop up eventually that will take you by surprise. I realise I’m starting to sound like a condescending life guru right now? So I will shut up.

New job, fresh start & achieving dreams | QueenBeady

I am so so so so sooooooo happy to announce that I have been offered a job within the Events, Marketing & Digital experience industry. I of course accepted!

I have been in travel for nearly 8 years & if you go back to my very first blog post I go on & on about it and I love(d) it. Sadly, everything has changed. Now, I am not adverse to change as I have embraced it with my new job, however the changes made in my company were big (& bad!) I was ready to fly the “travel nest” and finally do something I have wanted to do for quite some time. I have toyed & toyed with the idea and when I finally found this job advertised I knew I had to get an interview.

I don’t have fancy university degrees (however, I applaud you if you have!) which has made me feel slightly inadequate at times, but I have just proved to myself you don’t need to do that to fulfil your dreams & passions. I worked hard on both my interviews and especially my 2nd. I made a presentation & everything, (left no stone unturned!) and it really paid off & I am so delighted that they gave me the chance and opportunity to bring my skills to the role.

I get even more excited when I see why clients they have worked with too! It is a dream come true & I just cannot wait to get stuck in on the 31st March.

My new journey & adventure begins so BUH BYE travel industry!
