I’ve currently said “CIAO BELLA” to the UK and I’m swanning around the South of France (so the translation would have been better in French, but hey, I’m not too far from the Italian border right now so let’s forgive me for that rookie error. Shall we?) I’ve been dying to say “Goodbye UK” since my last trip, but even more so since the Referendum. I’m all about spreading good vibes and sadly, the Brexit situ has kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure most of you will agree with me.

First of all, whatdafuqiswiththisweather? I’m pretty sure everyone has turned to someone these last few weeks and asked the same question. I for one am totally not digging this weather. AT ALL. We jetted off to Oslo last weekend and whilst the last day the sun started to shine (yes, and all the while we wore all of our layers and carried a rucksack each. Thank you hand luggage Gods. Not.) the rest of the weekend was pretty drizzly. Then, we came back home and temperatures dip below what they were on Christmas day. Oh yes, you read that right and once again for those in the back. IT WAS COLDER THAN CHRISTMAS DAY.

There is no dress code. All these rules and regulations that we are expected to adhere too are bullshit. I wear what I want and what I feel comfortable in. If I want to experiment then I will. If I’m pleasantly surprised by the outcome then usually it’s something I will wear again. I hate that we all have to be pigeon-holed in a style that “suits our shape.”

I know winter should be made up of big coats and trusty boots but on the milder days it’s okay to bring out the light jackets and loafers. Each day the elements change and it’s difficult to prepare for what the weather might be like. I always keep a light jacket at hand because as I write this, it’s pretty warm and I don’t need my big, fluffy boyfriend coat at all. I went for another double denim combo this time, but instead of going for similar coloured denim, I mixed black and blue and was pretty happy with the outcome.

Yes, I’ve been living under a rock for the last year. I’ve never picked up on the double denim craze, but when I saw that ASOS had this lovely denim shirt in the sale it was pretty hard to resist. I never really thought it would work on a more curvier girl like myself, and whilst I’ll not look like the models on the runway or in the Levis campaigns I thought I dug it pretty well. You see, it falls back in to that 70’s style category that I seem to love so much. My wardrobe is 95% filled with suede, cord and those brown/red colours at the moment. I just don’t seem to be able to move from the style & it’s proven that it’s to stay a while longer with this gracing every high street shop for the last year or so.
