Okay, if you read this blog or follow me on social media you will know that I am rather in to my festivals. There’s something so freeing about having a cider in one hand, festival glitter all over my face and an earful of really amazing, loud music. We only live a 5 minute drive away from my beloved Leeds Festival so it’s guaranteed that our yearly visit always happens. Not only do I love the experience when I’m there, I love to get hyped by creating playlists of those bands I adore already and new finds that I can’t wait to hear for the first time live. The guys at Panasonic* sent me their latest, wireless speaker – the ALL05, to get me in the mood even more. My Spotify playlists have been off the hook as of late!

When mid September comes round you can normally kiss goodbye to festival season. The likes of Glastonbury, Leeds Festival and V Fest are all distant memories of this years coup of music fun. So thank God, for OnRoundhay! Leeds latest festival offers a stellar line up, food to keep everyone’s tums happy and complete with a dedicated children’s area making it a fun filled day for all the family. How cute? And because of the sudden heatwave it gave me a great opportunity to wear this fab dress from Trendeo too, the ultimate festival dress.
After my slightly mixed feelings from my 8th Leeds Festival I’ve been pining after another super fun festival that I can get my teeth in. I needn’t have looked far as Leeds latest Music & Food Festival comes in the form of OnRoundhay. The event is taking place on the 17th September which will showcase some of the best musical talent and of course a great selection of local street food traders (just like Piggie Smalls who I’ve had the pleasure to try at a previous YO1 Festival! I mean any trader that can integrate the name of my favourite Rap artist in to their business model is a winner in my eyes.) With John Lewis’ partnership along with Leeds City Council this is going to be a great day for all the family.
Wow, so it’s nearly two weeks since I went M.I.A on this blog. I wrote a little post on where I was going & a little bit about why here. With a huge wave of Bloggers, it’s hard to get lost in a sea of sameness and I felt like I was floating in and out of that “sameness” myself. I’ve tried so hard these last few years to curate blog posts that don’t just showcase fashion but also have a good meaning behind them, too. Let truth be told a lot of it is down to the fact that I am hankering after a holiday. A long one. One where it’s not just a touchdown visit for a few days or one where I’m working quite intensely with a brand whilst I’m there. It’s been nice to not think about deadlines or what my weekly stats are like, I’ve just lived these last few weeks.
