I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but recently I have done away with my tripod. No longer am I taking photos by myself before I head out, all alone, trying to ”werk it” with no encouragement. It sounds stupid but it’s damn hard to try and work it when you have absolutely no clue what it looks like on the other side. A couple of weeks ago I took the plunge. I asked my sister to do my blog photos for me. Little did I know just how much easier it would begin to be, with someone being able to tell you what you look like, what’s working and what’s not is not only making my photos a damn sight better, it’s actually bolstering my confidence in bucket loads.
I’d made a pact with myself last year that I would wear more black. It sounds morbid I know but I was desperately in need of some structure and classic pieces in my wardrobe that would stand the test of time. With Spring on our doorstep I am thinking I need to take a few steps back with this little ‘’mini-resolution’’ with myself because to me the brighter nights and the sunshine-y days require a much more vibrant palette, that and bold prints.
I have been scouring Bon Marche’s website for some exciting patterns that I know will work wonders for my closet and spruce up some dull outfits!

So the imminent, yearly visit to Leeds Festival is very nearly upon us and it gives me great pleasure putting together so festival-worthy outfits for my favourite weekend of the year.
My main goal for this year was to find a floor length, lace kimono (Yes, I am still reminisicng over my own lace wedding gown from June. Give me a break okay?!) and I was determind to find one that didn’t break the bank but also looked good. I spent hours trawling the net when I came across Hidden Fashion – there website was filled with ridiculously cheap clothing items (I’m talking 99p cheap?!) and came across this gorgeous kimono for only £9.99. I was sold, so I hit ‘’add to basket’’.
My little flowery cami dress is so comfy! I urge you all to go out and buy one of these dresses, they are perfect for sunny, summer days & especially for festivals. At £5 it was a bargain!
Ever the one for a bargain, I picked up this funky maroon fedora in New Look for a mere £3 in the sale. I could not believe I had found something so cool and so on trend (Maroon is going to be BIG for AW 14/15) for three English Stirling pounds. Even the cashier was jealous of my little find!
You’ll notice I braided my hair ‘’Heidi Style’’ as I wanted to try something a little different to my hair. I think I will be rocking that style at Leeds Festival frequently, I loved how it made my hair so big!
Are you going to any festivals this year or have you been? How did you style your outfits for those long, summery, hazy days?
I for one cannot wait to be dancing in a field to some of the best music around in less than two weeks times!
