    Trilogy Stores

It’s always hard to find the perfect pair of jeans. Time and time again I find myself with the dilemma when shopping for a pair; are they too tight, too baggy round the waist? Do I go flared or skinny? The choices are endless and it can start to send me in to a tiswas hopping from store to store. I know that my go-to pair are the Leigh jeans from Topshop along with some ”treggings” from Primark. I like my jeans to be comfortable but I don’t want a wardrobe filled with the exact same pair of jeans times ten. That’s why Trilogy Stores is so appealing to me. All these different brands and styles in one place makes it a lot easier to decide what needs to GO straight in my basket!

Top Fred Perry | Jeans C/O DressKode

So, Christmas is a time for friends & family oh and wait a minute… overindulging! So much so that I was recently bulging at the seams trying to fit in to an outfit I wanted to share with you. My wonderful cousin stepped in to my shoes & paraded around in my latest arrival from DressKode & obviously rocked it. The high waisted jeans are super flattering & can pull in any waist (except, maybe not mine!) She teamed it with a pink Fred Perry top which is one of her absolute staple pieces. She was quite taken with these jeans and said that they were surprisingly comfy too. Thank goodness for my mini-me stepping in! Have you overindulged over the festive period too?

Jacket Zara | Top Topshop | Jeans Topshop | Shoes New Look

No, I’m not really suited & booted as such. But, I find that adding a simple structured jacket to an outfit can seriously set you apart in the style stakes. I probably sound very ”conservative” (whom, I would like to add I have no loyalties to!) when I say this, yes you can give a woman a pair of shoes & she will conquer the world as someone quite famous said, however, if you give a woman a structured jacket she will dominate.

It was love at first sight when this Zara jacket arrived on my doorstep with all it’s tags on & packaged up, barely touched & not even sniffed at. It was another one of my fabulous bargains that I had swiped on eBay for a menial sum of money for such a good quality piece of clothing. I seem to be getting very good at that!

I don’t always want to look too dressy but I want to be seen to making an effort, it’s just the way I’m engineered. So, I paired it with my Topshop Peter Pan collared short sleeve cotton shirt & a pair of Topshop Leigh Jeans (very forgiving!). There is something about an outfit like this that is so multifunctional for a number of events, from a day trip shopping with friends or even a meeting with work. I like outfits that can serve a multitude of purposes & this does just that.

Have you got a go-to outfit that never fails you?
