    All of my life I’ve known I’m a little bit quirky, a little bit different. I never liked to follow the herd. And often, I felt like I was penalised for that. Going through school despite having lots of friends there were still some god awful people out there. I’ll always vividly remember someone coming up to me on the school playing fields, grabbing my hair and pulling me in to a crowd of people to try beat me up. The reason for it, I was never quite sure of. I’ll also never forget the moment an older school girl smashed my head on a metal bar on the school bus because her brother was also picking on me. I’ve sadly had to face facts that there will always be someone, somewhere not liking me.

    I start these things you know, with the hashtag, #1. I never get further than the first one. But there’s something about this idea that just stuck with me. Am I adulting? I question this pretty much every day of my life so of course, there should “theoretically” be plenty to talk about each week. It’s also a little bit more anecdotal, a little glimpse in to how my brain works and all the crazy crap that runs through it on a daily basis. (Read: My brain is ridiculous and I need someone else to listen to the bat shit cray cray stuff it thinks up.)

    Okay, shit is getting real. I have a brand new iPhone SE to giveaway in conjuction with Three UK. I am a total iPhone whore, I’ll hold my hands up and admit that. I’ll never head to the dark side and get an android. It’s just not the way in BeadyLand. Whether it be taking photos, to surfing the web or blogging, I’m (slightly) ashamed to admit my phone is never less than a couple of feet within reach. I’m pretty sure that most of us are in this day and age!

    It became apparent the other night, under very clear circumstances, I am terrible at adulting. I mean, really terrible. You’d think at the age of nearly 27 I would have really mastered the art of it, but somehow, I just don’t. I can’t even get a packet cake mix right (much to my Husbands dismay on his 28th birthday this week.) However, there is one thing I can do, and that is drink and respect the art of a cocktail. I can appreciate the taste of gin and how vodka makes me a little tiddly (guys, I feel it is necessary to add a disclaimer: I do not advocate drinking in excess and you should drink responsibly! Which is probably what I should have told myself on Saturday night.) The lovely guys at Micro Bar Box sent across one of their subscriptions boxes across for my husbands birthday to enjoy with our friends for our celebrations.

    Waaaa ohhhmaaaagadddd. Look at all the pink flamingo-ness?! I am literally bursting at the seams with this giveaway!
