It was my husband’s final race of the season and we spent the weekend at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire. It was a hoot as always, plus the spectators café was the best one we’ve been to so far. James assures me he loved the track and it was easy to see why with all the twists and turns, along with hills and dips galore. As a (long-suffering) race widow I need to make sure that at all times I’m wearing the cosiest attired – especially for the Winter meets. The ever old-faithful ASOS helped out because I’ve been dying for some bright white sneakers for some time. I love sharing these super casual, weekend wear looks on my blog too because they are so easy to achieve!

You’ll have seen me harping on recently about some of the amazing finds I’ve come across when I went bargain hunting in my local charity shops. We are really lucky as we have a St.Gemma’s Hospice and Martin House both on our doorstep. We also live in quite an affluent area so if you look hard enough you can find plenty of good wears. One of them happened to be this 100% suede shirt from Viyella. I don’t think I could have found anything more on trend if I had have tried.

I have a real thing for turtlenecks at the moment. I probably shouldn’t, especially as my bosoms were just not made for this style of top but they are so cosy for Autumn. And paired with the right thing or worn in a certain way they don’t have to look bad. I’ve been stalking ASOS for days on end recently. Their sale is out of this world that I have spent many hours on a night deciding what I must have. As soon as I saw this rust coloured, ribbed, striped (of course!) turtleneck I just knew it had to be mine (and possibly a few other things too.) Continue reading…

Yes, I’ve been living under a rock for the last year. I’ve never picked up on the double denim craze, but when I saw that ASOS had this lovely denim shirt in the sale it was pretty hard to resist. I never really thought it would work on a more curvier girl like myself, and whilst I’ll not look like the models on the runway or in the Levis campaigns I thought I dug it pretty well. You see, it falls back in to that 70’s style category that I seem to love so much. My wardrobe is 95% filled with suede, cord and those brown/red colours at the moment. I just don’t seem to be able to move from the style & it’s proven that it’s to stay a while longer with this gracing every high street shop for the last year or so.
