Introducing my new venture: the quietly wild store
I’m thrilled to be sharing my news with you here on queenbeady today!
As we were plunged in lockdown in March 2020 here in the UK, it quickly became apparent that in amongst the worldwide pandemic & ongoing onslaught of the virus, it was giving the world a chance to press pause and lean in to a slower way of life. That previous to that had become fast-paced, chaotic and the immediacy of things had made us demanding as a human race. There was a huge gap in the market and the quietly wild store was just getting ready to step in to the wings.
I, myself had also fallen down the trap of living like this but I would often find small pockets of time to steer away from the rat-race, all of which brought me moments of peace, calm and tranquility when I needed it most.
I will also be honest, my love for this blog has most very obviously waned over the last few years and I have been looking for something far more fulfilling for me to do.
The quietly wild store. Dreamt of in 2020. Established in 2021.
If you follow me on my Instagram you will see that I love nothing more than getting away from the daily grind by stomping around at my in-laws farm, to taking myself off to be by the water for quieter moments (I’m a Scorpio so that means I’m a water sign so, go figure!) or you’ll find me getting lost in the local woods, standing with the trees and just listening to nature with my eyes closed.
For me, these things come naturally to me, especially when I dig in to my metaphorical tool-kit after feeling worn out and burnt out. However, I know for some that this it isn’t always as easy to do.
When I wanted the comforts of my own home, I found that creative activities kept me sane through all of this. It gives me an outlet to focus on a task that has both rewarding & beautiful end results.
And, I know I’m not the only one who wants to embrace the slower pace of life as we navigate our way out of this pandemic.
So, after a lot of soul searching and 1:1 coaching, the quietly wild was finally born and I’m currently taking small and steady steps as it grows organically in to a lifestyle brand.
The 3 main ethos’ that will always be core root of the quietly brand values with everything that we do are as follows:
↠seeking joy in the wild outdoors
↠helping you find quiet moments in a chaotic world
↠embracing our imperfect creativity
We will do this by providing you with products that encapsulates calming qualities; such as our wreath kits which will be the quiet connection to the wild outdoors.
Our dried flowers will come from some of the highest quality UK & off-shore, family run wholesalers and will be vetted before being added to our kits so you can be assured you will receive a beautiful kit to get creative with.
We hope you will join me in celebrating the quieter, slower pace of live that the wild outdoors & creative activities can offer us when we want to slow down.
So, if you’re interested, please take a little look over on our new site as we will be welcoming you with open arms.
This new chapter in my life is just beginning and I am so excited for it!

SLOWER DAYS: WHAT I HAVE LOVED, WATCHED AND READ IN JANUARY
I said that 2020 was a year that I would focus on other things aside from my blog but somehow when I told myself that, the ideas started pouring in for posts to write.
You’ll know if you’ve stuck around for a while how I love the slower pace of life, it helps with my anxiety (which is becoming much less of an issue now and you can read how in this life coaching post) and I’ve never been one to travel at a million miles an hour.
January is often a month of hibernating after a busy festive period, there’s also less money in the bank after a long stretch since December’s payday but I’ve found January 2020 to be super fulfilling since I allowed myself to enjoy the quieter, more still moments in life.
In a bid to keep up with my never-ending pile of books and desire to make more time for it, I thought by adding a monthly addition of “Slower Days” I can let you know what I’ve been loving, reading and watching so you might find inspiration from it and help encourage me to keep going! (And it also allows me to indulge in my Netflix habit without feeling too bad!)
