    When I (often) discuss my love for Amsterdam I am quite frequently met with a glazed expression and the question, “of all the places in the world, Amsterdam?” and my answer is and always will be, YES. I have travelled to Amsterdam numerous times over the years with Mr C and I have also visited as a young child on countless occassions to visit family friends in Holland. It feels like I should have been born there. I feel so familiar with the destination that I’d happily walk the streets on my own, on a night. That can’t be said for various towns & cities in the UK. Not that I have to explain myself, but I thought if I could persuade you all with my 5 reasons why I love Amsterdam, you might just all come round…

    I think for everyone these days it’s really a “Sink or Swim” kinda world we live in. Well, recently I would definitely say I have fit in to the “sink” category. For want of a better explanation the last two weeks I had been on a complete crash course of feeling very sorry for myself. Brought on mainly by PMS (although, I’m currently looking in to PMDD as my mindset and mood swings seem to be getting worse each month!) but also, the gravitational pull I’ve had to making this blog the very best I can make it. Suddenly, I started questioning – what is it all for? What happens when you “can’t get shit done?”

    I’m just gonna put it out there. I’m brave. I’m brave for wearing this (stunner of a) dress in what felt like minus fifty million degrees. But all in the name of love! Yes, I’m talking about VDAY! That annual, yearly day of the year that gets everyone in to that “marmite” type of conversation. You either love it or you hate it. Some feel it’s one big marketing ploy (which I think research shows it was!) or you get involved and enjoy this little love fest of day. Hey, it gives me the chance to wear this LRD (that’s short for Little Red Dress FYI) for the occasion.

    I am obsessed with searching online for a new house. I need a new project to work on, even after a year and a half since our wedding I need something to really get my teeth into. So of course with house searching, many an hour is spent looking online at lovely homewares and I have a little vision in my head and it comes in the form of this white and grey style dream board. I really love the scandi style because how minimalist it is but I would love to mix it with a bit of country-esque pieces too.
