Holidays are the perfect time for me to absorb myself in to the literary world without any distractions around me. Our trip to Mexico was no different. I found myself immersed in fictional worlds during the 4 books I read on holiday in Mexico and boy, was it a great way to relax and unwind whilst I was there. Here’s a round-up review of the books I devoured whilst we were away.
3 WAYS I’VE STYLED MY MAXWELL SCOTT BAG FOR THE OFFICE
My Atessa Bag from Maxwell Scott has been gifted – 3 ways I’ve styled my Maxwell Scott Bag for the office.
I’ve tried holding off delving too far in to my autumn winter wardrobe this year. One, because I wasn’t quite ready to stop wearing my Birkenstocks just yet and two, because I have a winter sun holiday very soon & the crossover of seasonal style just wasn’t working out for me. However, over the last two weeks I’ve had to stick my neck out on the line and accept a slight defeat, it was time to roll out the roll necks, suck everything in to pairs of tights and even get the winter boots out. Here’s 3 ways I’ve styled my Maxwell Scott bag for the office.
Wow, first of all 2016 me was very ambitious. It seems that I was hellbent on giving myself long list of things to do or achieve before the time I was 30 and boy did I try and give it my best shot, but I think given that my 30th birthday is looming larger by the day, it’s safe to say that for my 30 before 30 updateis not going to be full marks. But, let’s look on the Brightside and celebrate what I have achieved!
THE ACADEMY HOTEL LONDON REVIEW – A SMALL LUXURY HOTEL OF THE WORLD
Our stay was provided to us on a complimentary basis in return for an honest review.
The buzz of London can be quite intoxicating, and we were keen to experience the city again at a more leisurely pace this year after our whistle stop tourback in September 2018. The endless amount of hotels can be quite hard to choose from! Ordinarily I do love my luxury hotels that have personality, that are quirky and stand out from the crowd, the Academy Hotel in Londonis exactly that and I’m so pleased we got to experience this unassuming hotel in Bloomsbury for a long weekend in the city. Here is my the Academy Hotel London review!
Guys, I am nearly frazzled. My usual August / early September burn out didn’t arrive until a couple of weeks ago and I’m fast peddling away trying to make it to the end of October without completely overloading myself. There’s been so much riding on this holiday to Mexico, so much so that I’m still keeping my birkenstocks on for the foreseeable (yes I am aware it was only 3 degree’s this morning in Yorkshire!)
This trip is the big one for my 30th (as you’ll know because I’ve not stopped harping on about it!) and I’ve spent pretty much the whole of summer watching everyone head off on gorgeous vacay’s whilst I sit crying in to my tub of Ben & Jerry’s wondering when on earth my time to fly will come around?
After sitting down on last nights coaching call with Sophie, I decided that I needed to put a plan in to action, thus my October to-do list before we head on holiday has been born!
