I didn’t quite know what to expect with Barcelona, I didn’t plan too much as I knew there were certain things that you obviously have to see but the rest of the stay would be spent roaming around (sometimes aimlessly!) and heading to a Metallica concert so I thought I’d create a a first timers guide to spending less in Barcelona for those who are wondering how to get the most out of their trip!
It’s the small hotel chain that was (and still is) hot on everyone’s lips in 2018. People are flocking here just for the sake of visiting the hotel and not the aim of the trip being explore the beautiful city of Paris.
And, dare I say it, rightly so!
It’s an interiors heaven, an influencers dream hotel and any cocktail lovers perfect spot for a tipple. This hotel has it all. And if you didn’t already know which hotel I’m talking about, it’s The Hoxton Hotel, Paris.
Okay, okay. I hold my hands up. I’m guilty of spending one whole week in the Caribbean Sunshine, eating, drinking and lounging around on a Jamaican Beach in Montego Bay. At the beginning of 2018 we splurged on a luxury trip to Jamaica as we knew that this year we were going to be looking for a new house as we had outgrown our first ever home.
So, with a few taps and a couple of credit card details later, 7 days later we were boarding a plane to the sunshine island where we’d be staying at the Secrets St. James Resort! So, sit back and relax whilst I take you with us…
After packing up our bags, not to board a flight but to move home, a (teeny-teeny-teeny) part of me was kicking myself that I’d not indulged in as much travel as I’d have liked in 2018, it was purely down to the house move that we had to reign in any travelling on many, excessive holidays throughout the year. Instead we focussed on two, very extravagant trips abroad in the first half of the year before we bought the house, which I think has resulted in me feeling totally burnt out towards the back-end of this year. Once I sat down and listed out where we had travelled to and the fabulous press trips I’ve also been on around the UK I started to feel quite grateful that we’d be fortunate enough to fit what we did in and around our very stressful house move.
