    I have to say December really is one of my favourite times of year to have a little staycation. Especially here in Yorkshire. It seems to have become a little tradition and it certainly gets me in the mood for the festivities that are about to begin with the run up to Christmas. Heading off to the Yorkshire Dales on a crisp yet sunny morning set us up perfectly for our wintry weekend at the Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, Bolton Bolton Abbey.

    The buzz of London can be quite intoxicating, and we were keen to experience the city again at a more leisurely pace this year after our whistle stop tour back in September 2018.  The endless amount of hotels can be quite hard to choose from! Ordinarily I do love my luxury hotels that have personality, that are quirky and stand out from the crowd, the Academy Hotel in London is exactly that and I’m so pleased we got to experience this unassuming hotel in Bloomsbury for a long weekend in the city.     This was a press trip with Visit Liverpool – How to spend a day in Liverpool

    Oh Liverpool, you really are a magical city. There is something that seems to draw me in to this place like no other. Maybe its because of the fond memories I hold with both my husband and friends, the people that live there, the amazing food and drink scene or the sheer history and pride that it holds deep within it. I was kindly invited by Visit Liverpool to come along for the day to experience some of the things that I haven’t already had chance to do whilst here previously. It was time to head back to a place I find so familiar for a day of even more exploring!
