    We spend all year saving for that special holiday and a huge percentage of why us Brits decide to go abroad is to escape the grim weather we have here in the UK. So what happens when it rains when you are on holiday? We stomp our feet, try do a “sunshine dance” and do that terribly British thing where we moan about things we can’t change. But, truth be told there is some beauty in amongst the madness and a little bit of rain won’t hurt anyone. Let’s face it, no-one wants to worry about whether it’s going to rain on holiday but why not have a bit of a back up plan, just in case? I’ve put a few tips together of how you can make the most of your time if it rains when you’re on holiday…

    I’ve probably mentioned in my last two posts that Oslo is a pretty expensive place (soz bank account!) but, I have to say it is most definitely worth it if you manage to find cheap flights (HI RYANAIR ANSWERING ALL MY PRAYERS!) As it was a Christmas present for Mr C, all the planning was left to me & sometimes making decisions, ain’t my forte. Gulp. After reaching out to Sophie after her trip last year I set to booking everything and sometimes you look to other blogs for inspo. I wanted to create a quick guide to where to eat, sleep & drink in Oslo for you guys & hopefully if you decide to head over to the Scandi borders it might come in useful for you too.

    If there’s one trend that is prominent for Summer ’16 is the hues of blue and crisp white. Reminiscent of the sunnier climates of Greece and their dome buildings, this trend is something that is quite clearly here to stay. I for one, am loving this season, it’s made me remove myself from my (not so) everlasting love with the colour black. It’s time to bring back a little bit of colour in to our lives and this is clearly the way to do it.

    I’m munching away on a tuna & cucumber sandwich, with a bag of salt & vinegar squares to be precise and an email lands in my inbox inviting me to a photography event with Inntravel, where legendary street photographer Keith Moss would be our mentor for the day. Now, anyone who knows me, I don’t put down food for anything (hey, I love food, what can I say?) but this email made me put my sandwich down. No lie. You see, I’ve owned a DSLR camera since October last year and it’s only fluke that I get a decent photo from time to time. I couldn’t wait to understand my camera bit better and how to get the best shot.
