5 WAYS YOU CAN TRAVEL SUSTAINABLY

Having just returned from a mammoth trip around France that took in a lot of stops along the way it got me thinking about sustainable travel and how I can be much better at it in the years to come. And, when I look at the ways in which we can do that it really is simple. So, here’s 5 ways you can travel sustainably…

Ah alas, the UK has been hit with something that actually resembles a summer over the last month or so. We actually now know what that big, bright ball of gas is capable of.  (The answer is that it burns us little Brits to a crisp.)

And, with a hot summer comes a summer wardrobe. Yes, that means the big woolly jumpers have been put in to hibernation for the foreseeable future and out comes anything that allows our body to breath in this hot, hot heat! I’ll be honest, I’ve always loved the Autumn/Winter dressing season much more, our coats give us warm, winter hugs when we are cold, we don’t have to shave our pasty legs because our jeans keep us on lock down, and with winter layers, it gives us that option to keep warm or cool down; the possibilities are endless.

But I’m afraid this summer, our body temperature gages are just simply set at “boiling” regardless of whether we are wearing a swimming cozzie, shorts and a t-shirt or a little dress. So, with the best will in the world I’m desperately trying to spice up my summer wardrobe and I’m actually beginning to feel like I’m on to something now my body is slowly climatizing to the incessant heat and I’ve managed to find 4 style trends that I am loving this summer (that don’t make me melt like “Tobe-Le-Rone on the beach in Malta!)

ROCKING OUT AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL PARIS WITH FESTICKET | QUEENBEADY

We’ve just returned from an epic trip to France where we took in Paris, Disneyland and the South of France! But, the main reason for our 10 day trip was to head to Download Festival in Paris. With Mr C turning 30 this year, it only seemed right to humour his wish to head to the festival that was being headlined by two of his favourite rock artists. You will be familiar with the UK version that’s hosted at Donnington Park every year, however, it’s now headed over to France for the festival season and it’s every inch of what you want a festival experience to be. Here’s how we spent two days rocking out at Download Festival Paris with Festicket.

Ah, alas. I am home from a wonderful trip to France and it’s put a ginormous spring in my step (despite walking a grand total of 50 miles whilst there!) It really was a whistle-stop tour at the beginning of trip being based in and around Paris, but we managed to fit in 4 nights of “down time” on the French Riviera at the end of our adventure. Having been to Nice, Cote d’Azur before I was excited to explore further along the coast but I didn’t have a clue where to start. Needless to say, it was going to be just as action packed as the start of the holiday because there’s so much to see and do there. Luckily, Marco Polo Guides came to the rescue with a fabulous travel guide on how to get the best out of our trip!

EXHILARATION & RELAXTION AT THE CONISTON HOTEL, SKIPTON | QUEENBEADY

Before I even start, I have to say I had THE BEST weekend when we took a trip to the gateway of the Yorkshire dales. I know, I know spoiler alert already, but seriously, we had an action packed itinerary to make sure we got to see the whole of the estate had to offer and it was the perfect concoction of exhilaration & relaxation at the Coniston Hotel, Skipton. With an early start, from our home it took only 50 minutes to get there and luckily a brunch was waiting for us on arrival. And you know your gal loves nothing more than a yummy brunch!
