5 SPOOKY PLACES TO TRAVEL TO ON HALLOWEEN TO SCARE YOURSELF SILLY | QUEENBEADY

I’m terrible. I must confess. I’m usually so prepared for Halloween, I’ve pinned my favourite pumpkin ideas, bought the said pumpkin from a local farmer and carved the life out of it, plus the house is usually full of sweets. But sadly, this year I have just completely forgotten. So, instead of worrying about how many disappointed children there are going to be when they knock on our door (or how many eggs I’ll be scraping off my window) I’ve put together a list of 5 spooky places to travel to on Halloween to scare yourself silly this year (or for next!)

5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A COACH BREAK WITH NATIONAL HOLIDAYS + GIVEAWAY* | QUEENBEADY

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with National Holidays.

I know a lot of people would turn their nose up at a coach holiday, and I really don’t know why because I was brought up travelling on coaches from a very young age and have always had very fond memories spending summers with my grandparents travelling the UK and around Europe. Not many people my age would even dream of travelling on one, but here’s the deal they’re a lot more fun and independent than you think, not to mention much more environmentally friendly than other methods of travel (remember to do something for the planet!) So, here’s why you should consider a coach break with National Holidays next time you travel…

ROOMZZZ CORN EXCHANGE, MANCHESTER: THE PERFECT POST-GIG APARTHOTEL* | QUEENBEADY

This is a sponsored collaboration with Roomzzz.

Manchester is incredibly popular for live gigs and huge concerts with global, worldwide stars visiting from afar. So many have graced the many stages that are dotted around one of my most favourite UK cities. Most recently we followed Arctic Monkey’s on their latest leg of shows in over 4 years and I’d been so excited to see them as soon as they announced their worldwide tour earlier this year. We managed to get hold of the highly coveted tickets for the Manchester Arena gigs one Friday night in September, still drowsy from our summer of festivals in Europe and still yearning for some musicality, we knew we wanted to make a weekend of it and stay over at the Roomzzz Corn Exchange, Manchester.

HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR HAIR WHEN TRAVELLING* | QUEENBEADY

If there’s one thing blonde hair has taught me, is that it really needs looking after and whilst I do my best to make sure it looks & feels healthy, sometimes my routine can’t always accommodate long, luxurious hair treatments. It got me thinking about how to look after your hair when travelling! It’s not only your skin you have to look after but also your hair too. With travelling abroad a lot I find my locks needs much more nourishment because of the over exposure from the (glorious) UVA & UVB sunshine rays that we find when heading to far flung destinations. So, I have found some quick and easy ways with Percy & Reed to make sure my mane doesn’t become too sun damaged whilst I’m lying on a deckchair!

Recently, we had the pleasure of heading away to enjoy a luxury Temple Spa Experience & Stay at Armathwaite Hall & Spa, in the Lake District. On our way to Armathwaite Hall & Spa, you roll off the A66 from the North, you’re met with bounding mountain-scapes far in to the distance, with white fluffy clouds floating neatly on top of them. I have always loved the Lake District. I always find myself asking exactly how did this area come to be so beautiful? Little over 2 hours from our home we can be in the Lake District so it has always been a favourite UK holiday destination both of mine and Mr C’s over the years. There’s something so peaceful when surrounded by water, it allows me to just switch off without a moments thought and the everyday stresses seem to dispel almost instantly. The idea of being able to enjoy this gorgeous countryside estate meant I could play at being a lady of the manor which was an opportunity I could not turn down!
