It’s a gorgeous spring day & what better way to spend it than bringing my lovely readers a little OOTD? Please excuse the slight podge (wedding diet is NOT going well, obviously!)

My love love affair with eBay and charity shops is through the roof & when I put some of my finds together I couldn’t believe how well they fitted the SS14 trends this year?

(Oh & yes that is my gorgeous doggy running around like a loony in the background!)

    TROUSERS Julie Mitchell
    NECKLACE Claire’s Accessories
    SHOES New Look
    BAG Zara

My favourite find was these pair of gingham trousers! I found then on the £1 rail in a local charity shop. Let me repeat that, ONE WHOLE ENGLISH STIRLING POUND! Yes, you heard me right that time. It really pays dividend to trawl charity shops because you will become a cropper & find something amazing!

My top was an eBay find and I got that for £2.99 from Zara. Hardly worn & bang on trend with the pastel themes we are seeing everywhere at the moment.

& of course. My lovely Zara city shopper bag. My beautiful bag that is just almost too gorgeous for words, she literally comes everywhere with me. She was a splurge (courtesy of my darling husband to be! A short quick paddy & she was mine. Yes, I am princess!)

So do you like this style? If love to hear from you if you do!

  • Leeds Festival Line Up | QueenBeady

Leeds Festival Line Up | QueenBeady

Yes, some of you may know I am a little obsessed with Leeds Festival! Having been since 2008, I overindulge in the festival feeling. We camp (even though we only live 5 minutes up the road!), we drink, we dance, we just live & breath the atmosphere. I sit patiently for for Zane Lowes announcements in the months running up to Leeds Festival & I have been pleasantly surprised this year. A few of my own personal predictions have topped the bill such as Foster the People (they have a new album this year – perfect pitch for that. PLUS, they put on an amazing show in 2012!)

I am so excited to see Arctic Monkeys, again, another prediction that I nearly cast aside when I saw they were headlining another well known festival. But, my dreams came true when they announced that they would be tearing up the main stage of Leeds Fest in 2014!

So, Monday saw the main & final headline announcement. Now much to my dismay, they have “co-headliners” of Queens of the Stone Age & Paramore. Having seen both, they are mediocre… & I will leave it at that. Is it just me or if you have to co-headline a festival you really shouldn’t be topping the bill of one of the best festivals in Europe? I can’t say I am overly enthused but, I don’t call the shots at Festival Republic (although I wish I was!).

Another amazing announcement was PENDULUMs DJ set! I am BEYOND excited. They played in 2008 & that year was amazing. If you could’ve merged years 2008 & 2013 together I think my dream festival would have been created. I cannot wait to see them and get my groove on to some of their major classics. I know James & I will be bobbing away like lunatics!

I could go on & on & on & on & on & on (you get the gist!) about Leeds festival, I really could. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this years line up for 2014 too & let me know if you are going too!

  • The obligatory round-up of 2013!

2013 you have most definitely been an interesting one. I’ve seen quite a lot of things this year, some beautiful & some not so kind. I can certainly say (as cliché as it may sound) one helluva rollercoaster.

January is always a tough one for me, I work every hour god sends and work full weekends to keep on top of the travelling wanderlusters. It is always our busiest time of the year for holiday bookings and this year was no exception. January feels a lifetime ago now that this year is nearly over & done with. Nothing exciting ever happens except for our annual meal out for my Mama’s birthday which was always a lovely affair. This year was no exception & we enjoyed a meal at our favourite pub www.thefoxandhoundswalton.com where the food is always delicious. If you are in the area I highly recommend it, so much so, we have asked them to do the catering for our impending wedding day! We also booked our wedding day with the Church & we couldn’t have been happier that everything was set in stone for what will be our most magical day.

February is again, a very slow month for us. I still end up working weekends. Whilst February is the month of love, James & I are never ones for celebrating Valentines Day (We are Vday Scrooges!) we actually went all out & I created a steak dinner with a baked cake delight for pudding. He did the obligatory flowers & prosecco which certainly did not disappoint.

March I lived for my week off in March. End. March sadly saw my Grandads first illness and was in hospital for a week or so. I’d never seen my Grandad ill so it was really hard to take it in, luckily he was home but there was a huge difference in him. I only hoped that he would get back to himself very soon. (more…)

  • The Manhattan Room onboard NCL Breakaway

As I write I am currently sat in the Manhattan Room onboard the NCL Breakaway. I know how rude of me to have my phone at the table, but truth has it, I am still waiting for my dinner guests to arrive as they are currently trying out the amazing high ropes & climbing wall. So whilst I’m sat here I can write to my hearts content. A truly amazing menu is on offer & I really don’t know what to do with myself? The restaurant has a really suave & sophisticated feel too it without it being over pretentious. The jazz & blues singer is keeping me entertained whilst I still decide on my menu choice. I haven’t even explored half the ship yet, with eighteen decks & less than 24 hours on board, the mind boggles how you’d even find everything within a weeks cruise. So rather than be rude, ill post a full blog when I get home with plenty of photos. In the meantime can you help me choose my evening meal?
