Oh. How I am already dreaming of blue skies, sandy beaches and cocktails on tap. And I’ve only been back just over a week. I’m sure most of you will agree that going on holiday is one of the pleasures in life that I don’t think I could live without. There’s nothing quite like hopping on a plane and heading somewhere for a bit of R and R. Plus, the hot weather that the UK seems to be lacking this week is giving me a serious case of wanderlust. So, without further a do, I bring you #IbizaGram – the snaps I tantalised on my Instagram pagewhen I had a dose of Vitamin Sea.
I can’t quite believe that one whole week has flown by since we flew to Ibiza. We’re both stocked up on paella and tapas, jugs of sangria and pints of San Miguel. Fresh from days by the beach and those days exploring the White Isle. And with one long flight delay home under our belt we arrived back home in the wee hours of this morning. And in the spirit of all things holiday/travelling, to reminisce so dearly about our time on the Iberian Island of Ibiza, I’ve put my vlog together quick sharp. So, sit back with a cuppa (or a San Miguel to get in the mood!) and enjoy today’s vlog post…
Italy. Oh, Italy. You really are the destination of dreams. From your dramatic cliffs on the Amalfi Coast, to the ancient ruins of Rome and to the ever stylish streets of Capri or Milan. I adore everything about the country. However, I feel I have only scratched the surface. I’ve been blinded by its bright city lights or the crashing waves against the Neapolitan riviera and never gave the Italian countryside a second thought. Until now.
It’s safe to say that as much as I have loved so much of my content this year, I’ve not really brought it back to basics. From the photos I adore taking to the written word that goes with them, I’m always trying to create a substantial post that includes many long paragraphs. Don’t ask me why, but I’ve felt that that is the only way to be classed as a “proper blogger” and sometimes, I really don’t have to spend hours constructing a blog post but I still manage it. But I’ve felt exhausted after writing them sometimes. As I get closer and closer to my holiday, I can feel my “old self” trickling through again. The type of person who enjoys life, laughs till my belly hurts and heading on “off the cuff” days out. So, I’m dedicating this post to all the things that have made me smile recently.
I have been dark haired ever since the day I was born. I came out with jet black hair and a heck of a lot of it. Everyone laughed and joked that I looked like a little monkey. For our Wedding, my hair grew and grew once more and my locks were a deep auburn/brown still. As soon as our Wedding day was over and done with I decided that it was now or never to make a drastic change to my look. So with that, my luscious, long locks were cut off to a bob and so the task of getting my hair lighter began.
