    Without sounding too braggy, it’s safe to say that 2017 is going to be a hard year to beat. I feel like I’m so raised after such a brilliant 365 days that surely it can’t get any better? They often say that the higher the fall, the greater the hurt. Well, I’m determined not to let that happen. And try as I might, 2018 will hopefully be just as good year as the previous. If not better! By the power invested in me and these 9 promises I’ve made to myself, I’m going to (try) live my best life this year…

    I wanted to make sure I got one of these posts out before the end of the year. I’m cutting it a little fine, I know. But when I was scrolling through these photos (my last shoot with Matt of 2017) I realised just how far I have come in a mere 365 days. I really thought that 2017 had passed me by as an uneventful year, when really it was possibly the start of something very special. My journey to finding both self-confidence and self acceptance. Two things that have seen me blossom as a more well-rounded human being. Sounds corny really, doesn’t it? However, it’s so easy to look at someone’s blog or social media and think they have it all, but sometimes, deep down it isn’t always as it seems. Luckily, towards the back-end of this year I became truly happy and more accepting of myself and my fate. Which saw me have one of my most successful years to date.

    We’ve had the Danish concept of Hygge (living a simple and cosy lifestyle) and the Scandi term which also translated in to Cosiness. Well, 2018 is hitting us with it’s Scottish counterpart: Còsagach. After a weekend spent at the North Star Club in Sancton earlier in December, I was all about that Còsagach lifestyle – in fact I think I reached peak Còsagach zen if I’m completely honest. (I can’t wait to share our full stay with you soon.) You see, I’m very much in love with the simple things in life. A cosy weekend spent walking in the countryside, followed by a cup of tea next to a roaring fire whilst reading a good book is something I relish in. But sadly, life can be a little too fast paced for my liking that it’s not always possible to indulge in such fantasies.

    Guys, if I haven’t bored you already with my relentless posts about Christmas, well I’m afraid I might be verging on that edge pretty soon. I just can’t help it. Once pay-day hit and I could go wild with buying Christmas presents it all started to sink in that Christmas is very nearly upon us. I’ve got in the mood with the Designer Outlet York to bring you some of my top Christmas Wishlist items that either I’d love to find in my stocking or think would be a rather awesome gift for a loved one.     Oh boy, am I ready for Christmas this year. I have so much excitement in my bones that if I burst I think you’d hear Christmas Carols coming out of me rather than any form of loud, eploding bang. The Christmas tree at work is finally up, (and I think ours will be this weekend, too.) Plus we have Christmas Market’s, a festive weekend away and a Christmas Party to also think about. Let’s just say I’m going freaking in on the festivities this year and y’all better be here for it too. And with every festive period brings reasons for new footwear, so I’ve teamed up with the Victoria Shopping in Leeds (the swankiest shopping mall to hit Leeds in quite a few years.) I’ve also got another sneaky post for you in the form of the perfect pair of party heels, but this one is dedicated to all things boots. So strap yourself in and enjoy!
