    If you had told me that in December 2015 I would have been able to pack a whole weekends worth of clothes in one travel backpack for a city break to Amsterdam I would have laughed at you square in the face. Beady does not pack light. No Sirree. But, I did. I managed to pack 3 day & 3 night outfits with toiletries and shoes in to one bag. And when we go to Oslo at the end of this month we only have hand luggage again. I know some of you may be crying out in horror! How, you might ask? Well I’m going to tell you how to travel with just hand luggage…

    Unless you live under a rock you’ll know that it’s the BAFTAS this evening. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts award ceremony that celebrates all things gloriously British from the stage and screen. Growing up I longed to be an actress but realized quickly my dream would not emerge victorious so instead studied fashion and textiles in sixth form. I’ve always been in to style and for me the awards ceremony not only catches my eye for the dramatic entertainment but also the magnificent dresses that come with a red carpet appearance too.

    At the moment I’ve really been reflecting on how happy I am. It sounds so corny but life at the moment is pretty good, things are making me smile and I’m encouraging myself day by day to cherish just the smallest things in life that make me happy, it seems that so much is happening at the moment which is making that an easy task. I’m making sure that I’m not running myself in to the ground either. Accepting things with my blog that I only want to do and not stretching myself socially or professionally.

    Ever put on a dress and think “this is the one!” Okay, this only really happened for me when I tried on my wedding dress, but with this dress I almost (very nearly) got the same kinda feels! This style of dress is definitely my thing, in fact, I was pretty sad that I didn’t have a wedding to attend soon so I could wear it. I felt like a 1950’s Glamour Puss. Generally speaking this is not the kind of outfit posts I share as I tend to stick to my more casual, everyday looks but lets face it, this dress just had to be shared.

    I’ve never really been a huge fan of the bomber jacket, a jacket that is collarless is an absurd concept to me. I’m not really sure why though? But this black New Look version is something that my wardrobe has clearly been crying out for because quite simply, it’s da bomb. Not to mention the fact that it kinda (slightly) slims me down or is that just wishful thinking. I’ve been thinking about what I wear a lot recently & how I don’t stick to one particular style.
