    I am here for all the independent women. Praise the lord for all the strong, sassy, wonderful, kind women in my life that I know. But, I’ve been thinking about something recently. In fact, it’s something that plays on my mind, a lot. To me, feminism is so many things. But most importantly it’s the freedom of choice that makes me want to celebrate being a Feminist. Even in 2K17 I find myself interrupting men on a regular basis, reminding them that what they have said is pretty misogynist – trying to educate some can be pretty hard going but those are the first steps.

    We all need that time with our sisterhood, do you feel me? A day of pure indulgence, shopping till you max your cards out (oops, no I didn’t, I promise) and catch ups are always the order of the day when my sister & I get together. PrezzyBox helped us out too, with a gift card for Patisserie Valerie so we could rest our weary bones after a long day shopping because of course, you need a sit down and also an hour to stuff cakes and pastries down ya’ neck too. (Did I just do another oops?)

    If you’d have told me back in January 2016 when I booked our holiday to the Dominican Republic through Ice Lolly, I’d have thought you were mad telling me that we’d spend a week of doing nothing. I’d have laughed in your face with a big ol’ LOLZA. You see, as much as holidays are for relaxing we often find ourselves adventuring out a bit and very rarely spend a week doing sweet F.A. Sadly, I was struck down with a bout of V&D due to exhaustion (my body just decided to give up on me) I was reduced to staying close to the hotel room, you know, just in case.

    So I wrote a post about where Summer had got to? Then within an hour of the post going live we were subject to temperatures way past 20 degrees Celsius. I now know that all I need to do to win the lottery is write a blog post about “WHERE ALL MA MONEY AT?” (I joke, of course!) so I was a little bit worried to write a post only days later entitled “The sun has got his hat on” that he might go back on his jollies and take his sunshine elsewhere and leave us Brits with the rain, again. I guess I’m going to have to take a risk and we will just have to wait and see, won’t we?

    Why I’m Thankful for Technology | QueenBeady

    I felt I just had to write this post on the spot. I’ve just come off the phone from a Facebook video call with my Nana & Grandad. It really made me smile. Not only the fact that they are using technology in their late sixties and (sorta) bossing it, but it just made me really happy that I can do that in 2K16 and not get blown up by the Millennium Bug, ya’know? I can be interactive with my family without so much as clicking a mouse button. We are more connected than ever and I’m so thankful for technology in that respect. Here we go again, the ol’ word vomit is about to happen…
