Get Summer Holiday Ready with Veet | QueenBeady

    Veet 4

As the days keep ticking by, I’m slowly marking an ”X” on each day. I know I shouldn’t wish my days away but at the moment there is only one thing on my mind and that my friends is a trip to Mexico in 45 days. AS I’m dreaming of cocktails and lounging around on a beautiful white, sandy beach with nothing but the waves to keep my ears company I know I have some major prepping to do. Not only am I working out 2-3 times a week to tone up that dreaded tummy of mine – I’m also needing to keep in tact my hairy legs. Yes you heard me. I have a really hairy body. I actually kind of wear it as a badge of honour now & when the discussion arises of ”how much hair we had as a child?” I’m always first to raise my hand in the air and proudly say ”I looked like a monkey when I was born.” Here there’s even proof; You have to admit it’s a colossal amount of hair, am I right?

    Bon Marche AW15 | QueenBeady

Recently I was asked to be a part of the Bon Marche Catwalk at Lamberts Yard, Leeds. I was super pleased as I love an excuse to get my make-up done and put on a pair of heels! It also gave us the chance to have a sneak peek of Bon Marche’s AW15 range that is due to land soon. Now, forgive me for thinking that Bon Marche is somewhere my Nana might shop but it seems that they are upping their style stakes and adding classic pieces to the range that will stand the test on time. It was time for myself and a few other fellow bloggers, Kellie, Kristina, & Jennie  to walk the pink carpet!

Life seems to be passing me by at a rapid rate at the moment. Blink and you miss everything. My life consists of a Monday to Friday job in an office, so you’d think that time would go slower than it does, but with a busy calendar it’s almost like my feet are moving without me even realising. I’m so grateful for the wonderful opportunities that my blog is seemingly bestowing me with at the moment. It’s exciting & exhilarating, I’ve finally had a moment in my ”blogging career” where I’ve thought ”I’ve had a special blogging moment” and that’s been a few times recently. That has taken FIVE WHOLE YEARS (remember this throughout the post). This is not a brag post and it annoys me to the very core that I should have to semi-advise/apologise for feeling good about something. Surely we should be championing each others achievements?

This is an open letter to all you Bloggers out there.

    The City Girls Leeds 8

If there is one thing a blogger loves, its events! They are a great way to learn about new brands and a brilliant way to socialize with other, fellow bloggers. I don’t know about you (especially if you are reading this & a blogger yourself) is that it’s pretty hard to explain to someone exactly what a blog is! So to have a time and a place where you can shamelessly snap photos of everything in sight and talk about SEO and all the she-bang that comes with it is a serious bonus. And our prayers have been answered by the blog-Gods in the form of #TheCityGirls Leeds Event by the wonderful Lorna from Life by LDE and Holly of Tea&Blush. After the success of their Sheffield meet it was time for round two, with some of the loveliest Leeds Bloggers (I’m biased, I know?)

    Take It Easy

Top New Look | Denim Skirt Topshop | Coat Mango | Watch Olivia Burton | Sandals Birkenstocks

This Take It Easy tee from New Look was an impulse buy, one to bulk up an online order so I qualified for free delivery. Boy, am I glad I clicked add to basket with this one. It’s a casual piece, but a bit of a conversation starter because it’s a little different to the usual slogan t-shirts out there at the moment. I think what makes it one of my favourites is the red piping round the neck and sleeves. It’s kind of like the raglan tops that have that all-American feel to them. These photos were snapped by the gorgeous Sophie Cliff who I am so glad I’ve finally had the chance to meet!
