It’s the 1st of August which means one thing & one thing only. IT’S YORKSHIRE DAY BISHES! I’m a proud Notherner and always have been, but I’m even more prouder that I have been born and bred in the most picturesque County of them all, Yorkshire. Bed Guru asked me to get snapping with a brand new Instax Polaroid to capture some of my favourite spots in & around Yorkshire so this last week I’ve been a busy Bee collecting some perfect polaroids for the #MyYorkshirePhoto campaign!
I wanted to start my Nice themed content with my Vlog. I’ve started to find so much joy in shooting videos along the way and coming home to edit them. It’s another creative outlet that I’ve become to love more & more. I prolonged adding any of my Nice content for a few weeks after the traumatic attack on the City. I feel now is a good time to start sharing with you some of the amazing sights we came across along the way. I can’t wait to share my photo diaries, hints & tips and more in future posts. I’m an outright “pizza snob” and so is my husband. We have the most amazing pizza takeaway near us that whenever we go out we don’t even read the pizza section. That is until we were invited to Ecco Pizzeria, Leeds. We were so ready to try out their lip smackinginly, latest menu at their newest branch in Roundhay. It’s not that we don’t like pizza (hell, who doesn’t like pizza?) it’s just we have always found ourselves a little disappointed when we have chosen a pizza dish on many of our date nights. However, it was all about to change from hereon in. Praise the lord for Ecco!
Firstly, I gotta give you a lil #LOL before you read any further. That precariously placed red splodge you see on my jumpsuit leg, this numpty went and spilt bright red nail polish on myself when it got it’s first outing and I can’t get rid of it. Any removal suggestions will be gladly welcomed as I just love it so much. Okay, okay back to the moral of the story. Lemme break it down for you hunnies. YOU DON’T NEED UNI TO GET YO’ DREAM CAREER. SHOCK. (Have I been watching too much Ru Paul?) I didn’t go to Uni and have had two very successful (or at least I like to think?! Yikes do I wanna blow my trumpet anymore?!) careers in my 10 years of working life. I didn’t go to Uni & I’m not a failure!
DATE NIGHT. Date night’s are so important I feel. Head out for dinner, to a movie, heck even mini 3D golf (it exists guys!) Whatever floats your boat, sometimes it’s just nice to get out of the house, put the phones down and re-connect again. I as much as anyone is guilty of having my phone glued to my hand. My husband has a rather unhealthy addiction to Clash of Clans. If you’ve not heard of it, don’t introduce your other half to it, imagine Pokémon Go, except this fascination has been going on for over two years. Yep. I digress, for me I truly get cabin fever and love to get out the house. When I spend so much time heaped behind a computer at work and then behind my laptop at home working on the blog it is so important for me to get out and about, otherwise I’d go stir crazy.
