GETTING SOME #GRAINSPIRATION* | QUEENBEADY

Hands up if you love nothing more than a bacon sandwich for breakfast? I know I’m guilty of it. I’m always looking for healthier ways to start the day (ahem, belgian hot chocolates do not count just because they are “liquid”) So when Good Grain wanted to challenge me to a 5 ways, 5 days challenge of creating different breakfasts with their puffed rice & wheat cereals I was more than up for the #Grainspiration challenge. Using some of their own ideas and incorporating some of mine, my week long challenge was about to begin…

BEING A BOSS WOMAN | QUEENBEADY

Okay. I’m gonna say it right now. I feel bad-ass when I wear this outfit. It’s the perfect mixture of feminine meets Boss Woman ready to come at ya. I really love the femininity of the lace detailing on my Victorian style, high neck top from Closet, (I also think it would look super cute under a pinafore or slip dress) which compliments the structure of both the long lined blazer and Radley bag, respectively. When I’m in work mode, I wanna feel encouraged by what I am wearing too (yes, how superficial of me?) But what is it they say?

“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”

Well, that is how I feel by a well, put together, babing outfit.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY? | QUEENBEADY

For most, a holiday abroad is the one time of the year that you look forward to the most. After spending every day “working for the man.” This is your down time to completely unwind and relax, forget about every day life and just go with the very slow flow. I thought it was a myth that you could ever have a bad time on holiday, that was until last year. I’d really been looking forward to a trip to the Dominican Republic but sadly, the hotel just did not live up to standard and I became very ill on our second full day. My worst nightmare had come true. How could this possibly be? To look to the positives the beach would be our saving grace (because I don’t want to sound too much of a Negative Nelly and it also proved pretty perfect for the ‘gram!) but that sadly, was it. So what happens when all you can think about is heading back home on your return flight? Here’s some handy hints and tips to help out should you ever find yourself in this predicament…

Mother’s Day is less than a week away and we all know that time is ticking to make your final preparations to make your Mum feel amazing on the day that is dedicated to her. MUM, YOU DESERVE THE BEST | QUEENBADY

I wrote a really heartfelt post the other day, that so many of you connected with. The messages, the comments, the emails, the tweets. It was pretty overwhelming but humbling to know that I was not alone in this and by opening up so candidly on this blog. That it had helped others in the process to understand their own instances when someone hadn’t been around and had abandoned them on multiple cases. The post honed in on the lack of my real father (I use the term “father” loosely) being in my life. I feel like I owed it to my mum to post something to thank her for everything.
