  • A MIDSIZE GALS GUIDE TO 36 HIGH WAISTED BIKINIS TO WEAR THIS SUMMER | QUEENBEADY

A MIDSIZE GALS GUIDE TO 36 HIGH WAISTED BIKINIS TO WEAR THIS SUMMER

For some, slapping on a bikini can be one of the most daunting experiences of a woman’s life. We are fed so much divisive bullshit about “how we should look in a bikini” to the opposite end of the scale of preaching self love and embracing every inch and curve (and belly roll!) It can be hard, as I teeter both lines all the time, one moment I feel like I have zero confidence in myself to wear a bikini to the next of feeling like a bad-ass bitch who works her midsize curves. I’ve bought quite a lot of high waisted bikini’s over the last year or so, and they’ve all made me babin’ (especially this one) and I feel my most confident and comfortable in this style, so here is a midsize gals guide to high waisted bikinis to wear this summer!

I’ve tried to pick options from different sites that I know are true to size and currently (as I write this post) have stock available from size 10 – 18 and Medium to Large. I had so much fun picking out my favourites, some are classic styles that will last a life time and others are current trends.

A NON-MINIMALISTS STYLE GUIDE TO MINIMALISM

At the grand old age of 29, I am yet to fully embrace a signature style. I know, I know, it seems silly to not really know exactly what my style is but usually my off-duty look can be jeans, a tee and vans but there are the times I need to make an effort and pulling an outfit together can become quite the chore when you’re not entirely sure what suits you and what doesn’t. I crave the wardrobe of Erica Davies – the bold prints and the clashing of them, the floaty dresses and the perfectly quaffed hair make me go all *heart eye emoji* but I often wish I could pull off a more, minimalistic chic look like Lizzy or Ropes of Holland. Their style is something out of a fashion spread and I can’t help but envy how they pull it off. So, for a gal who doesn’t quite know what she wants from her wardrobe here is a non-minimalists style guide to minimalism!

COCKTAILS AT THE JO MALONE GARDEN TERRACE AT THE IVY, HARROGATE

    Press Review Invitation

It’s an absolute wonder that the Ivy haven’t opened their doors up North sooner, but I guess the term, “better late than never” is pretty accurate on this. I was recently invited to enjoy cocktails at the Jo Malone Garden Terrace at the Ivy, Harrogate to celebrate Jo Malone’s new “Blossoms” range.

ONE BILLION JOURNEYS EXHIBITION AT THE NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM, YORK

This post is a sponsored collaboration with the National Railway Museum.

Many weekends and school visits through my youth were spent at the NRM in York so when the opportunity came up to visit Wang Fuchun’s One Billion Journeys exhibition at the National Railway Museum, my immediate answer was a big fat yes!

    LET’S CATCH UP

WOW. It seems such a long time ago since I wrote a post like this, I’ve almost forgotten how to do them. Hours spent curating travel content over the last six months (dipping my toes in and out from time to time) has meant there’s been very little space for these catch up style posts! So excuse the self-indulgence of this post. Life has been somewhat hectic and also come to a little standstill at the same time over the last couple of months that my mindset just hasn’t been A-Okay! Now that I’ve acknowledged my life felt like it was taking a nosedive I’ve taken a bit more control over it.

So, let’s catch up shall we?
