  • Danielle Haim Outfit Inspiration | QueenBeady

    Image

Today I bring you the second instalment of my outfit inspiration posts of the bands I love. Last time I posted an outfit dedicated to the oldest sister Este which you can find here!

Danielle is the middle sister and quite notably the lead singer of the band (however I sometimes think Estes vocals are a little better. Please don’t shoot me!) she is definitely the dark/mysterious type who takes a back seat whilst her two siblings completely goof off all the time. Her style is much more simple compared to them as well.

    1. This monochrome striped tee is so bang on trend at the moment & I can so totally see Danielle wearing this with her effortless style. This cute top is from New Look and costs a very pocket saving £14.99! Perfect.

    2. YIKES! I love this rope necklace from Miss Selfridge and another steal at £12.50 I think I might have to treat myself on payday. I have a very similar gold rope style necklace that I never want to take off!

    3. Look at these super effortless Imitation Leather trousers from H&M. They are totally in tune with Danielle’s style. Tight, black & leather = spot on. And they are even more spot on at a lovely £19.99 price tag.

    4. Ahhh the time old classic converse shoe. I want a pair of these every year but for some reason my purse strings do not allow it. A festival staple that every girl needs. Available at Schuh at £42 – I think I need to start saving!

    5. Danielle is always found with some sort of leather jacket. I picked up she wore the biker style jacket with no sleeves & I found this one at Topshop which fitted the bill perfectly. It’s not such a bad price at £45 either!i can see her rocking out in it now.

So there you have it, my guide to Danielle Haim’s very cool and laid back style.

I’ve decided to so a series post that will be weekly for all my lovely readers & followers. Having seen these sorts of style posts I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon but try do something a little different.

I love fashion and following both the high street & the catwalk, but what really inspires me the most are the bands and singers that I really love! so I thought I’d kick off my first blog post by starting with 1/3 of my favourite band EVER! The gorgeous and hilarious Este HAIM.

    1. This gorgeous dress is from the fabulous Lavish Alice I chose this dress because quite simply, it oozes Estes style to an absolute tee. Priced at £58.00 you hope you are going to get a nice quality piece of clothing.

    2. These incredibly super duper cool biker shoes from Missguided are perfect for the feet. If you are on your feet alot you want to look cool but at the same time not have poorly feet at the end of it. For £37.99 I thought this was such a reasonable price for some biker style boots. Perfect sized heel & perfect for Estes style

    3. Frilly socks? Say no more. They create that perfectly girly & innocent look that tones down the slightly hardcore/grungey look that Este pulls off so well. Some how she still manages to keep it quite feminine. Priced at £3.50 from Topshop they are an ABSOLUTE steal!

    4. I LOVE this necklace. The very tribal-esque look is still bang on trend and quite frankly just pull this whole outfit together. I can totally see this type of jewellery rocking out at every festival this year. And it’s only £12.50 from Miss Selfridge

    5. Last but it least I bring you the most AWESOME rose gold metallic leather jacket from River Island I mean this is a ridiculous splurge piece, priced at £140.00 but WOW! Whilst I don’t think I could be so daring I imagine Este would absolutely love this piece!

There you have it, my style guide to Este Haims wardrobe inspiration. Keep your eyes peeled for another sister from HAIM very soon. Quite frankly I love you & your style – AMAZING!

If you liked this post let me know with your comments it’s great to hear from all my followers & readers!

New job, fresh start & achieving dreams | QueenBeady

I am so so so so sooooooo happy to announce that I have been offered a job within the Events, Marketing & Digital experience industry. I of course accepted!

I have been in travel for nearly 8 years & if you go back to my very first blog post I go on & on about it and I love(d) it. Sadly, everything has changed. Now, I am not adverse to change as I have embraced it with my new job, however the changes made in my company were big (& bad!) I was ready to fly the “travel nest” and finally do something I have wanted to do for quite some time. I have toyed & toyed with the idea and when I finally found this job advertised I knew I had to get an interview.

I don’t have fancy university degrees (however, I applaud you if you have!) which has made me feel slightly inadequate at times, but I have just proved to myself you don’t need to do that to fulfil your dreams & passions. I worked hard on both my interviews and especially my 2nd. I made a presentation & everything, (left no stone unturned!) and it really paid off & I am so delighted that they gave me the chance and opportunity to bring my skills to the role.

I get even more excited when I see why clients they have worked with too! It is a dream come true & I just cannot wait to get stuck in on the 31st March.

My new journey & adventure begins so BUH BYE travel industry!

OOTD Enjoying my new hat & tings | QueenBeady

So guys, I got bored & thought I would be really posey poserish & pull off a few shots of a new outfit I put together on Friday.

Some of you who are regulars to my blog WAVES may have seen my eBay Haul post over a week ago, it included this super cute mint green dress with a scooped back. I bought it not realising it was a few too many sizes big, but when I got it on I LOVED the fact that it wasn’t too tight. I think it’s gives it a bit more of a casual feel to it.

So I enclose a photo of me getting my ritual pose on (trying to look oh so cool but I’m not quite sure it’s working? Cue awkward face!)

    Dress Topshop (eBay find)
    Hat eBay
    Chelsea Boots Barretts

I absolutely love this look. If I was going out I would finish it with my leather jacket just to keep it on the edgier side as it were.

I was also unsure about the “pork pie hat” but I can’t explain my love for it & how it just pulls everything together creating a chic yet I don’t care look about it!

    What’s your weekend style?

  • Pre Wedding Photo Shoot with Jenny Prest | QueenBeady

Pre Wedding Photo Shoot with Jenny Prest | QueenBeady

Sunday was a day that again, both myself & my fiancé James were really NOT looking forward to. It was time to meet our photographer and have a little “Pre Wedding Photo Shoot” to get us used to the camera.

I can categorically say, this is not my partners cup of tea. AT ALL. PERIOD. END. FIN. So of course I felt nervous for him!

Our photographer is the lovely & smiley & happy faced Jenny Prest She met us at my in laws farm. It started off as a bright and sunny morning so it was look hopeful. After we had a little tour around the farm, showing her our chickens, the pony, the pigs & the sheep (and trying to hunt down James!) we set to it.

Jenny had brought a lovey heart shaped chalk board which I etched our special date on. We went all around the farm. We climbed walls, had to piggy back on Hay bales but it was so much fun! The kiss shot was pretty awkward as James & I are not ones for the whole “PDA” situation (he’s a farmers son, what do you expect?!) but Jenny made us feel so at ease.

I wanted to pick out a few photos that we absolutely LOVED! There were so many but here as just a couple of them.

Looking at the photos, I was surprised how much I liked the black & white photos. Without giving too much away our wedding day is very colourful so I didn’t want to do too much of the black & white style… I could’ve changed my mind now! (It’s much more flattering! Haha.)

We were really impressed with Jenny’s ability. She had only just started doing it full time, after realising her passion she quit her job & started her photography company! Meeting her & chatting to her (ALOT!) she has really inspired me. She’s followed her dreams & it’s working for her. I LOVE IT! If you need a photographer she is your lady!

I can’t stress enough how important it is to meet with your wedding photographer before the big day. If we hadn’t have met Jenny, I don’t think we would feel as comfortable as we do now. Plus we have a relationship with her now so she will know what we like & don’t like. So stop what you are doing all Brides to Be, call your photographer & book a pre wedding photo shoot. You’ll thank me in the long run.
