    Viking direct happiness package

For those who don’t know I am the monthly chat host of #HappySelves on Twitter. This is a once-monthly takeover of the wonderful #HealthySelves chat. I pick a topic that is light-hearted and upbeat and we all just chat away like we would with friends over coffee. It’s so lovely to have a chat on Twitter where there’s never an argument, everyone plays nice and we are also a support network for those who aren’t necessarily feeling 100% with themselves.

    #BlogAtTheBeach

If someone told me it was over a week ago since the #BlogAtTheBeach event, I’d probably look at you like you were mad. Time is flying, at a rapid rate. It’s pretty scary. It’s probably because I’m so fixated on getting the hell outta this country. ASAP. When I was invited to the event I knew I just had to go, having leaving the travel industry of eight years, I have missed talking about Travel immensely. The masters behind the event were the lovely IceLolly.com, which is a price comparison site for travel. Now that is my kinda website. They’d also lined up some excellent speakers for the day & I was ready to get stuck in and learn a lot.

If there’s one thing I love it’s food, and if there is another thing I love, then that is cute & quirky eateries. When I met the lovely Faith, Jenna & Carrie-Anne on Saturday before the #BlogAtTheBeach event, we headed down to the Grand Arcade to grab a drink and some food at Just Grand Vintage Tearooms Leeds. With it being Yorkshire Day, there’s something so quintessentially British about having a little afternoon tea (or tea at any time for that matter!) so of course Jenna & Faith decided to have a mammoth pot of tea between them. I rocked the boat and ordered a Rose Lemonade (I was thirsty for something cool!)

    Parisian Dress New Look 3
Dress Parisian Collection at New Look | Coat Mango | Bag Mango | Mules Monsoon

I wouldn’t have enough fingers to count on, the times I have said I have fallen in love with a dress, or any piece of clothing for that matter. In fact I sometimes feel like I’m in a lustful affair with some of my wardrobe. I love you A-Line denim skirt, you’re so structured and lovely but some days you just got to go for the floatiness of chiffon. Does that make me a bad person? I look at these photos & I realise not, because this dress is pretty darned good. Am I right? I fell in love with it as soon as I laid eyes on it via New Looks online sale. It comes from the concession ”Parisian Collection” and in all honesty I hadn’t actually heard of it before. But when the words Parisian come in to any metaphorical term for clothing. I’m there.

    RSPCA GBBO 1

I love animals, I love my dog to the ends of the earth and pretty much any other animal I come in to contact with. I’m one of those saps that watches Paul O’Grady For the Love of Dogs with tears in my eyes, proclaiming ”I just want to bring them all home and love them and care for them.” You know this, because you’ve probably been there too. That’s why you are reading this post about the RSPCA Cake Off Challenge. Great, I’m glad we have some common ground. I was asked to bake a cake. As wife to a Farmers Son you probably have the image that for most of the day I’m holed up in the kitchen baking cookies and creating mammoth cakes every day, well quite the contraire. By day I work in digital experiences for Events so you could not be further from the truth. So when I was asked to do it I was like ”Yeah sure, I’ll do my best.” Secretly I thought ”Oh Crap!” but ever one to turn down a challenge I was ready to go full steam ahead!
