    When did I become so cynical? Is it my age? Is there something wrong with me? Is it because I’ve encountered too many pricks for one lifetime? (Ps. Dontcha just love the expressive cacti photo to work alongside this intro?)

    Truth be told, I’ve always had a little guard up. I never expect too much of people, (this probably stems back to my absent sperm-donor of a father that waltzed in and out of my early teen years – thanks, ya big ol’ twat!) but really, I’ve almost started to expect the worst in everything. Be it in a persons actions or behaviour or just general day to day life. It’s the most bizarre thing. “I’m going to get the sack!” or “Why did so & so do what they did, it’s so inconsiderate?” are just a few examples over the last few weeks my brain has decided throw at me.

    October is a magical month I feel. You get the joy from the cosiness without it being dark when you leave and return from work which is a wonder in itself. I need to enjoy what this month brings before we are plunged in to darkness with the winter months. Oh & did I mention I’m an October baby? Just one more reason to love this beautiful month of the year. There’s so many reasons to love October.

    When mid September comes round you can normally kiss goodbye to festival season. The likes of Glastonbury, Leeds Festival and V Fest are all distant memories of this years coup of music fun. So thank God, for OnRoundhay! Leeds latest festival offers a stellar line up, food to keep everyone’s tums happy and complete with a dedicated children’s area making it a fun filled day for all the family. How cute? And because of the sudden heatwave it gave me a great opportunity to wear this fab dress from Trendeo too, the ultimate festival dress.

    Wow, so it’s nearly two weeks since I went M.I.A on this blog. I wrote a little post on where I was going & a little bit about why here. With a huge wave of Bloggers, it’s hard to get lost in a sea of sameness and I felt like I was floating in and out of that “sameness” myself. I’ve tried so hard these last few years to curate blog posts that don’t just showcase fashion but also have a good meaning behind them, too. Let truth be told a lot of it is down to the fact that I am hankering after a holiday. A long one. One where it’s not just a touchdown visit for a few days or one where I’m working quite intensely with a brand whilst I’m there. It’s been nice to not think about deadlines or what my weekly stats are like, I’ve just lived these last few weeks.

    I very rarely jump on bandwagons so today’s post is really about why I’m so bored at the moment. I’m bored of Blogging, I’m bored of seeing the same old shit and I’m actually not missing Blogging 3 or 4 times a week. In fact in my last post I write about how I’m lacking enthusiasm at the moment – I’m struggling for content ideas. My brain has temporarily shut down. And I’m not beating myself up about it. (Well I kinda am because I’m writing this post.) But I feel I need to physically write it down here that I’m actually giving myself a (mental) break.
