So, I have FINALLY invested in a bridge camera so I can take awesome photos. Whilst I am no expert I think I have picked it up pretty quickly.
I’ve invested in a Fujifilm Finepix S9400W which is the most up to date bridge camera that Fujifilm has released.
Whilst I’m still yet to get to grips with everything and all the different settings I have enjoyed taking it out and testing it down on the farm.
I’ve had so much fun. And, let’s be honest being able to play on the farm is certainly a great place to test my skills out.
I’m looking forward to being able to now shoot more OOTD posts with a more professional feel! So keep your eyes peeled, especially for my pre- honeymoon and wedding posts!
Whilst the boys played on the bank holiday for Mr C’s stag do, the girls were going to play too!
It started with my mum putting on a lovely spread for my bridesmaids and close family on the Saturday afternoon/evening so we could get together. It was so lovely to have the ones I love altogether!
I even made a start on our place cards for the wedding. My mum & I made a little bit of bunting with her super cool cutting machine! (She is a serious crafter) She deserved a bunch a flowers for putting up with my hormonal self!
So off we then went to York! My girls I tow and also my little sister which was really nice. We managed to get a table in York Revolution and my friend works there so we enjoyed the cocktails & shots all night (& of course managed a dance!)
Then on the Sunday we enjoyed a trip to YO1 festival at York racecourse which was awesome! We didn’t stay too late as we had had one two many cocktails the night before, but it was definitely a case of “Hair of the Dog”
We saw some good bands and quite frankly danced our little socks off! It got me in the mood for Leeds Festival!!
We also had the most AMAZING pulled pork sandwich & it was quite frankly the coolest food stall I have see!
What have you been doing on your bank holidays?
I don’t now about you, but I can’t wait for the next one?!
It already feels like my first (& surprise!) hen party was a million years ago. I have been revelling in “post hen party blues” (is that a condition?) since Sunday!
My girls did a grand job of organising it & keeping the whole thing under wraps for the last year?!
After initially thinking that we were headed to Birmingham for a few weeks before… Bridie baked me cupcakes for me to organise in to the secret destination… At first I thought I was going to Manchester! Little did I know?
So of we went, bags in the car and off we tootled up the A1 to our fabulous location. No girls car journey is complete without an obligatory car selfie!
First up was a Cocktail Masterclass at Floritas which is one of the best & classiest bars in Newcastle. It was a ridiculous amount of fun. In fact, I get a little teary when I think about it because I just wish I was there again? Two teams, three cocktails – who wins?
To be honest I hardly got any photos of this because quite frankly we had far too many shots & cocktails to drink a pirate under the table!
Our butler in the buff provided the “eye candy” who happened to also be best friends with Scotty T from Geordie Shore (aptly the quote “WHO THE F@*K IS SCOTTY T?” followed this event as he is not an origggg cast mate?!)
We went to the Fat Buddha for an evening meal which was very cool. The food was lovely too! I had a Thai green curry which was so tasty. I expected it to not taste as authentic as Fat Buddha is a chain with restaurants all over the world, but it was so so so so good!
Then it was on to experience some of the nightlife. We hardy got any photos as we were extremely busy dancing our socks off in Tup Tup Palace which played the most ridiculously amazing music?
If I could rewind to that day, I would!
The next morning we filled our stomachs with a big full English and headed to the spa at the Hilton Gateshead. I had a serenity back, neck & shoulder massage which was meant to be a “nice & relaxing” massage. It started off lovely but as soon as she got to those knots, I genuinely thought I was trying to get killed?! I have only just recovered from it, some of the girls even had BRUISES from this? Can’t say it was the most relaxing massage I have ever had, so thank god for the jacuzzi, sauna & steam room to relax in!
After that we travelled back home & it was all a distant memory.
Overall I will be back Newcastle. You are just a delightful yet sinful place & I adore you.
Until my next hen party in a few weeks in York I can get repetitive strain injury scrolling through my photos and memories!
Firstly, I’m sorry dear followers for the lack of posts this week.
This is of course down to my first full week of my new job! I have had the BEST WEEK EVER! I can’t remember the last time I came home from work happy for 5 consecutive nights in a row? I’m pretty sure it will stay the same for quite some time!
I feel passionate about what we offer for a start, people want to talk about the amazing products we offer & it’s so easy to see why!
Photobooths are the ultimate craze for any event & they are so much fun! So if you need one for your event it would be great to hear from you. My new colleague & I attended a wedding fair and had so much in the booth ourselves we forgot we were ACTUALLY WORKING.When do you ever feel like that at work?
There are loads of other things we do as well! Experiential marketing is quite clearly the way forward, our hashtag wall is pretty awesome! If you are a lover of Instagram you’ll love this one!
I’m so glad I was given this opportunity to get in to an industry that I didn’t even have any form of qualifications for. I’m ever grateful for that chance, I’m grabbing it with both hands & I’m going to succeed (I hope?! Ha.)
The future is looking great & with the wedding only two months away I could not be any happier!
