I don’t know if I’m freaking out over nothing. It really could be just that, nothing. But recently I’ve felt like I’m having an identity crisis with my style. It’s odd I know, that at the age of 27, I feel like I haven’t got my shit together (well, my wardrobe life together.) Queue meme’s of me trying to look for adultier adults even though I am an adult. I just feel like I don’t know where I fit in with my particular aesthetic. My overall look changes each day to the next and I now I want to really hone in on my style.
Who doesn’t love a good ol’ shopping spree? Not me, that’s for certain! With any opportunity to give my plastic some serious thrashing, I am always ready & raring to go. Ya feel me? And when White Rose, Leeds asked me to style three mannequins for their 20th Birthday Celebrations, I could not have been more involved if I had tried. To celebrate them opening in ’97 (I will have been 7. Yes, 7 years old) we were given £97 per mannequin to create three unique looks. The sheer prospect of it was enough to make me giddy.

Okay. I’m gonna say it right now. I feel bad-ass when I wear this outfit. It’s the perfect mixture of feminine meets Boss Woman ready to come at ya. I really love the femininity of the lace detailing on my Victorian style, high neck top from Closet, (I also think it would look super cute under a pinafore or slip dress) which compliments the structure of both the long lined blazer and Radley bag, respectively. When I’m in work mode, I wanna feel encouraged by what I am wearing too (yes, how superficial of me?) But what is it they say?
“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”
Well, that is how I feel by a well, put together, babing outfit.

What constitutes the perfect city break outfit? To be honest, I don’t actually know. But I do know what works for me. For those who were living under a rock (because I was practically shouting from the rooftops) I was in Rome last week. Early March. We weren’t sure whether we’d really thought the dates through or not when it edged closer and closer and the weather reports kept changing every day between sunshine and rain. So what is one to pack when they are heading on a city break where the weather might be inclement?
