It was my husband’s final race of the season and we spent the weekend at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire. It was a hoot as always, plus the spectators café was the best one we’ve been to so far. James assures me he loved the track and it was easy to see why with all the twists and turns, along with hills and dips galore. As a (long-suffering) race widow I need to make sure that at all times I’m wearing the cosiest attired – especially for the Winter meets. The ever old-faithful ASOS helped out because I’ve been dying for some bright white sneakers for some time. I love sharing these super casual, weekend wear looks on my blog too because they are so easy to achieve!

I love bold colours that work together and in separate entities too. It’s a daring look that not everyone can achieve but do it right & you’ll be the queen of style. You’ll have seen me harping on recently about some of the amazing finds I’ve come across when I went bargain hunting in my local charity shops. We are really lucky as we have a St.Gemma’s Hospice and Martin House both on our doorstep. We also live in quite an affluent area so if you look hard enough you can find plenty of good wears. One of them happened to be this 100% suede shirt from Viyella. I don’t think I could have found anything more on trend if I had have tried.

It seems utterly crazy that the word ”Christmas” has appeared on my blog. Yesterday marked it as 2 months away from the day that Santa comes along on his sleigh and puts presents under your tree (or so I was lead to believe for many years!) and whilst Christmas has many other traditions getting your outfit right on the day is also a very big task. George at Asda asked me to put together the perfect Christmas Day outfit and whilst searching their site to do that I couldn’t help feel a little giddy picking and choosing my favourite bits from their latest dress collection.

This whole outfit is made up of hand me downs. I bet you thought you’d never read that on a fashion/style blog did you? Normally it’s big sisters who have to hide their clothes in fear of their younger siblings stealing them from you, but in our family it’s the other way round. Lucky for me though, my sister get’s bored of her clothes pretty quickly and every time we visit one another she has another big bag full ready for me to rummage through. It’s a win win situation for me!
