    I’ve always had the idea in my head that you have to be down in London to make anything of yourself in the blogging world. I’m sure a few of you (read: a lot of you!) will probably feel exactly the same way. With major companies mainly all based down south it’s normally very difficult for us Northerners to get a look in when it comes to opportunities and events. But, over the last year I have noticed a massive change. The offerings are becoming plenty for us online blog warriors up here and we are starting to make some noise and it’s not going unnoticed. Blogging from the North just got a whole lot more exciting…

    If you are anything like me, I need to have comfortable feet. They are the part of my body that keeps me going on long, busy days and they needed to be treated with the care & attention they deserve, so when I’m travelling to new city destinations I know my feet are gonna take a pounding. Hashtag sorry feet. So it’s only right that they are treated to the comfiest pairs of shoes to make sure that I can cope with the long days. I never want to be that person that moans ‘cos they’ve got blisters and they wanna go back to the hotel. Na-Ah!     We agreed a time and a place to meet. I was pretty nervous as it was my first time, I wasn’t sure about him. I think he’d done it plenty of times before. When we met he made me feel pretty comfortable and it made everything seem so much easier. As we found a spot, somewhere pretty secluded just on the outskirts of the city centre, he took of his bag and pulled out his impressive piece of camera equipment…

    Unless you live under a rock you’ll know that it’s the BAFTAS this evening. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts award ceremony that celebrates all things gloriously British from the stage and screen. Growing up I longed to be an actress but realized quickly my dream would not emerge victorious so instead studied fashion and textiles in sixth form. I’ve always been in to style and for me the awards ceremony not only catches my eye for the dramatic entertainment but also the magnificent dresses that come with a red carpet appearance too.

    I feel like my style posts have been slipping off the radar recently. It’s not because I don’t want to do them anymore it’s just I feel like I have lots to say at the moment and each little bit of word vomit that’s circulating around my head is fighting for some airing space. I’ll go through fits and starts. I can pinpoint moments where there’s been a flurry of style posts every other day – I don’t know what it is that inspires me most when I’m posting them. Is it the current trends? The fact my bank account has taken an ASOS hammering? I’m not quite sure.
