A FIRST-TIMERS GUIDE TO INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING WITH #MOVEGB

My mission for 2019 was to say yes to things that scare me. As you may have seen on my Instagram Stories I’m working with #MoveGB as a Brand Ambassador which meant I could start saying those “yes’” immediately in January. You see, this awesome gym membership doesn’t just include your traditional gyms, each plan is pretty unique, and extremely flexible – it doesn’t just get you access to one gym, but in fact to thousands of different venues that offer some sort of exercise or sports programme which is the beauty of it. We love the outdoors so we decided to give Rock Climbing a whirl with our first use of the MoveGB membership! We are absolute novices so wanted to impart some of my first-time knowledge with anyone who might be thinking of taking up Rock Climbing as a hobby. I mean, how cool that the plan includes access to climbing centre’s among other things. Here’s a first-timers guide to indoor rock climbing with #MoveGB.

CREATING A COSY CHRISTMAS WITH METHLEY ESTATE | QUEENBEADY

With no luxury, log cabin retreat to look forward to and get me in the festive spirit this December I’ve been doing certain things so I can keep the “C” word well and truly alive at home this year. Now we are (just about) settled in to our new home I’ve been super excited to “deck the halls” for our first Christmas here. I was kindly invited down to Methley Estate at the beginning of this month to pick out a real Christmas tree for our new home, which seemed like the perfect thing to do to get me in the Christmas mood! I’ve been on a mission creating a cosy Christmas with Methley Estate and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.

APPRECIATING ENGLAND: A PHOTO DIARY OF ANGLESEY

I’ve come to love the UK. After years of travelling abroad with my husband and through my job in the travel industry, it seems that the UK has ignited a passion in my soul that I didn’t think possible. With various trips through this blog on home turf it’s given me a new love for our beautiful country. Luckily, over the course of the last few years we have travelled up and down the country with my husband’s racing, with one of our stops being in Anglesey for the last couple of years. A small island of 276 square meters, it is joined with Wales from two suspension bridges, the Menai and the Britannia. It’s a place I hadn’t even thought of travelling to Anglesey, but from watching Sophie bob across with her husband to see their family from time to time, I was glad it had become a firm fixture in the race calendar.

I am an absolute die-hard festival fan. I love the atmosphere they bring, everyone is pumped up on energy to see their favourite bands so they can sing and dance along. The fruit ciders are casually flowing and everyone is generally having an all-round good time. I’d seen the line up for Tramlines Festival included one of our all time favourite bands, the Libertines and I was dying to see them again after we saw them live at Leeds Festival back in 2015. Luckily, my prayers were answered when I was invited by Festicket to be one of their #FesticketInsiders.

After we land back from Ibiza next month, six days later we get to head to our first festival, Tramlines, for 2017 as a Festicket Insider. And boy, I can’t bloody wait! Mainly because we get to see one of our fave bands of all time back up on stage again (which for many years it was questionable whether or not we’d ever see them live.) And now we will get to see them for the second time since our little mini heart attack on the matter. Tramlines Festival visits Sheffield for the eighth year and keeps getting bigger and better. In 2011 the Festival won ‘Best Metropolitan Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards, so I’m even more excited to visit this award-winning festival and experience the music! There’s 5 bands that I’m super excited to see…
