As an ex-travel agent, it’s hard for me to not want those indulgent experiences. Travelling is great for the soul, the mind and all-round life experience. Elegant Resorts cater for those wonderful memories you create in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations such as the Caribbean, The Indian Ocean and many more. Creating a luxury Caribbean or Mauritius holiday experience in the UK was top of the agenda & I couldn’t think of anything better than The Courtyard Spa at the local Bridge Inn at Walshford. Having been before when the Spa just opened it has recently undergone a massive £225K refurbishment adding even more wonderful spa features to their repertoire.
I think everyone has their little passions and little secret obsessions. For some girls its makeup, for some it’s shopping; well for those are festivals. I don’t think there is anything as liberating as being completely free of prejudice and being able to dress and accessorize yourself however it comes naturally to you. The crowds and music are just mesmerizing, and we somehow all go back to that hippie era where all that was important was peace, love and harmony, and I think that is perfectly depicted in the colourful, flowery and magical fashion style that erupts during festival season.
We had a pretty hectic week off. We had all good intentions of just relaxing, but knowing Mr C & I that was never going to be on the cards. After spending 3 glorious nights away for our 8 year anniversary in Budapest (you can read about it here & here!) we arrived home and started gutting the house. It was time for us to spruce up the garden after a cold winter and make it all nice for our summer BBQ’s. Then it was on to our mammoth job of painting the hallway and landing, we opted for a gorgeous olive green colour which has completely revamped the house in just 24 hours.
