We stayed in the cute cove of Cala Llonga on the east side of the island. And whilst we didn’t get views of the amazing sunsets that you do on the west side, we were greeted with shallow waters, gorgeous beaches and yachts bobbing up and down with the waves. It was the perfect place to relax.
Our first full day was spent exploring our little resort and getting to grips with what was around. We’d decided that we were going to hire a quad for 3 days so decided to have a little reccy round with who could offer us what. We managed to find a little place and quad hire was 140 euros. I wore this Black Sabbath tee from ASOS and my Levis Shorts from ASOS (similar here)
Our first day exploring took us to the North of the Island. Again, we were met with gorgeous Cliffside views and crystal blue water that looked very tempting to dive in to. We took a windy, coastal road down to Cala San Vicente for some lunch and it had to be the winning dish of the week. Animal UK kindly sent me this gorgeous summer dress for exploring and it was so comfortable to wear. (FYI it’s in the sale for £22.50 – go grab it quick!) Sadly my tasselled, straw bag is sold out but you can get similar ones here!
Well, what can I say. I wanna live in the old Ibiza Town. It is simply, beautiful. My Instagram was instantly brightened up with the white washed buildings, the overgrowing floral fauna around doorways and cobbled streets lining itself all the way up to Dalt Vila. It was a huge highlight of the trip for me.
Man. Did my sassy-esque, fashion blogger style come out on this holiday. Not only that, but my husband, Mr C became an overnight Instagram husband sensation. Where had he come from & what had he done with my husband? But, seemingly he WAS IN FACT my actual husband. Of course, I fell in love with Ibiza Town like nothing else and it was the perfect backdrop for Missy Empire pom-pom top that I was kindly sent. It was just so comfortable, because despite other styles of bardot tops being off the shoulder, these have separate sleeves so I wasn’t constantly pulling them back down! Absolute perfection for when you are in a hot country.
The views over Cala San Vincente were pretty out of this world. If you look beyond the “party island” that Ibiza has become renowned for, you’ll find so many gems that you’ll make it your next dream destination. I promise.
Okay, so I don’t wanna touch on this one too much because I’ve got a whole blog post coming on this but I wanted to say a huge thanks to anyone who took the time to comment on this pretty big milestone event for me. If you read the caption, you’ll know why! So thank you for giving me the confidence to be able to do it, I know that my followers are gorgeous, lovely people who only want to lift people up rather than bring others down. Thank you. And I also couldn’t have done it without this sculpting swimwear from Protest UK (thanks for sending it guys!) that made me feel like I could take on the world!
I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again. Did you really go on holiday if you didn’t get the classic “feet by the pool” shot? Nope. Nope you didn’t. So of course, I had to do it. Plus it made my feed look all kinds of pretty too.
Here’s a close up of the gorgeous kaftan I was sent from Miss Tunica – the perfect beach or pool cover to make you feel like the sassiest sassperilla of them all! (Yes, I did just make up a word.) And of course, that bargain £3.49 sun, sea and sand hat from Aldi made an appearance too. I love finding style pieces in unlikely places.
Every doorway in Ibiza Town was just too pretty not to snap. In fact, there was a constant 100m gap between Mr C & I as we explored. My camera must’ve been worn out! As our last day was imminent it’s so nice to look back on what you have done and seen, but it’s also a time to get excited about little home comforts we often forget about when we are getting excited in the build up to our holidays.
And, as the caption states we were delayed. But not just by 6 hours. It finally ended up being 9.10pm by the time our plane took off the tarmac. We’d been stuck at the airport nearly 12 hours from the moment we checked in till we started boarding the plane. And, whilst it wasn’t the most exciting thing to happen, Mr C & I had chance to just chat away as our batteries slowly died on our phones. We eventually arrived home at 1am. After we’d originally booked this holiday based on good flight times it became the opposite, best laid plans and all that jazz, ey? However, we have put in for a claim for our delayed departure – so if you’d like a post on this once we’ve completed that, please do let me know in the comments below!
Another day, another door or window post. I know, I’m terrible but they are just too instagrammable for their own good. If you’d like to check out the vlog I created – click here! Although I don’t vlog my everyday life (because LOLZ that shit is boring!) I do love making my holiday vlogs to look back on. I hope you enjoy it too.
Where are you heading on your next holiday? Are you now thinking of heading to Ibiza?
I love to hear from my readers! Leave me a comment 🙂
