I like to think that I exude “happiness” – mainly when I’m around other people. I get cheap thrills out of hearing people laugh and enjoying themselves. Call it crazy, but I don’t mind being a joker and cracking the gags to make people smile. I think it’s just in my nature. To me, what is the point of being glum? I get it, not everyday can be a bed of roses and we can’t always wake up with our best face on, but isn’t it so much lovelier when world is full of laughter. Especially, when there is so much sadness in the world. FatFace’s latest range includes bold, tribal prints mixed with earthy tones and really set you up for a casual summer wardrobe and it’s all about being #WashedInHappiness – what a lovely campaign?!
I have to say, that this lazy day outfit was probably my favourite out of the two styled looks you are getting today. The shorts are so nice and breezy, with a drawstring tie making them a real easy pair of shorts to pull on for a day of “pottering” (sometimes they are my fave kinda days!) and to pair it with the perfect black tee makes it even more effortless. I guess what I love about the shorts the most is the rustic, artisan style to them. I could definitely see me wearing these on holiday in the baking sun, my kinda happy place! I had to add my brand new Longchamp bag, which is currently going with me everywhere. I have wanted one of these shopper bags for donkey’s & I finally managed to pick one up in Nice on our recent trip.
For my second look I’ve brought something a little more “girly” to the table, whilst brown isn’t necessarily my colour this flattering style of dress is perfect for those summer day walks by the river. My ideal day would be to grab a fresh loaf of bread, some cheeses and a few slices of ham to create ginormous sandwiches the size of your head, a bowl full of strawberries & cream each and finish off with a tall glass of some fizz! Ejoying a slow, restful day with my husband and dog is something I so relish so my picnic basket is going to get used plenty this summer, especially if the weather stays the same.
What’s your happy place? I’d love to know in the comments below!
That dress is gorgeous, so flattering!
My happy place is on Chesil Beach in Weymouth. I love the place, have such fond memories from childhood
Of course I have to have fish and chips wrapped in paper!
thank you so much Tamsyn! Oh what a lovely happy place, one of mine is back when I was a child at the static caravan we had near Bridlington. Fish & chips is a must at the seaside!

Dayummmm girl, you look so good in these photos! I LOVE these photos and most of all, I am in love with your shorts !!!! I would never have thought they were from FatFace, I’m off to stalk their website now. What a lovely campaign & post :}
Even though this is a difficult period for me I still try to be washed in happiness with the little things of life; like the smell of fresh cupcakes out of the oven, or a bird sitting by the window frame. A trip to FatFace makes me happy too, its all about good quality clothing, nice colours and fabulous collections, so I got #washedinhappiness this weekend to cover my blues 🙂
