First of all, whatdafuqiswiththisweather? I’m pretty sure everyone has turned to someone these last few weeks and asked the same question. I for one am totally not digging this weather. AT ALL. We jetted off to Oslo last weekend and whilst the last day the sun started to shine (yes, and all the while we wore all of our layers and carried a rucksack each. Thank you hand luggage Gods. Not.) the rest of the weekend was pretty drizzly. Then, we came back home and temperatures dip below what they were on Christmas day. Oh yes, you read that right and once again for those in the back. IT WAS COLDER THAN CHRISTMAS DAY.
So, of course, the winter wardrobe we so meticulously pack away to Narnia once the 1st April rings, has re-emerged back in to my life. Gone are the Summer’s where we could whimsically bounce up and down the footpaths in pretty, white dresses whilst catching the typical British Summer tan, it seems that the season’s have hit a pause button and gone, “not today Summer, let’s make these people never enjoy the sunshine, again.”
I mean, I really am chomping at the bit for some beautiful weather, but it also kinda means I can throw together super cute outfits like this #IfIDontMindSayingSoMyself. The lovely guys at George at Asda kindly kitted me out for their #DenimJeanQueen campaign and instantly I knew I had to bag a pair of jeans from the “wonderfit range” and boy oh boy so I love each and every pair I own. I ordered this blue pair in a size small and they fit like a glove and kinda make my bum look peachy (trust me, that’s hard to do y’allll!) When choosing a pair of jeans the fit has to be right, with my curvy shape it can be a win or lose situation and it can all go downhill pretty fast. So, this range from George At Asda work wonders for me.

I’m even having to layer the hell up. What is up with that? My black blazer which you have seen here is pretty much my go-to jacket. It’s been in my wardrobe for years and the lining constantly keeps getting sewn back in as I can’t bear to part with this perfect black number. Work, casual, dinner date it has got me covered all the freaking time. It’s a bit like pizza, it never let’s me down.
For the want of sounding cliché, I added my neckerchief again. It reminds me of the days I worked for a big travel agent and we had to wear them. God, did I feel sassy walking in to work each day. Add the Breton striped top and the Chelsea boots, voila, a la French mode in full swing! #SorryNotSorry.
I know I complain about the weather but in all seriousness, I do really, kinda, almost definitely love this little babin’ number. And, whilst I really do hope the weather picks up so I can start thinking about how I can pair that cute denim skirt I got last year again, if I can put something like this together, then I guess I can be just a little bit happy…. NOW HURRY UP AND GIVE ME SUMMER.
