This is the post I had a little paddy about on Twitter, I think I have managed to rectify some of them but we all know just how much of a perfectionist us Bloggers can be. Before we could check in to our Air BnB apartment in the wonderful city of Amsterdam we managed to get a few street shots. This was our fifth time in our favourite City (plenty of posts to come) however, it was the first time we had travelled with just hand luggage. Worried that my bag would be full after two big jumpers, I needn’t have worried, StoryHorse saved the day with their super cute, bird design rucksack. With plenty of pockets and zipped areas to shake a stick at I managed to pack a full weekends worth of clothes, toiletries and a pair of over the knee boots from George Asda too.

I’ve never classed myself as cool, my outfit here would probably look so much better on a taller, more slimmer version of me. However, I seemed to embrace my inner hipster when I bought this fisherman style hat. Although, I needn’t have bothered because despite grey/white skies Amsterdam was pretty mild. Much like the weather we are having here in the UK. I wore this gorgeous, thick, cable knit and cowl neck jumper from George at Asda (somewhere that just seems to deliver great basic and affordable pieces).

Despite the whole outfit being a little bit miss matched, it was the perfect attire for travelling and then adventuring around the City when we arrived. It was clear I needed a new pair of Nikes (there’s always an excuse to buy a new pair of kicks for me) I’ve been lusting after some Nike Roche’s since the dawn of time and I finally managed to work out the kids size 5, would in fact fit me and also save me a nifty £40. I was quid’s in and looking super cool. (Or at least I hope I did?)

I’m so sad that I’m back. It’s a place I feel so connected to when I’m there. Almost like it’s where I should have actually been born. The streets are always familiar and I always feel safe. Do you have a City outside of the UK that just calls out to you? I’d love to hear!

Love the shots! I really want to go to a cute city like Amsterdam or Berlin or something and take some street outfit pics! I have to say the fact you’re wearing kids shoes is adorable, your outfit is fab for wandering around the city!

Thanks Holly! I’m not sure if I tried and failed miserably to look “cool” but I’ve tried my best 😉

I love these photos, Amsterdam is a place I’ve always wanted to visit. Your shoes are super cute and I’d happily wear them if I could work out what size I’d be in a kids! It’s an amazing bargain!

      Hi Jodie,
Thank you! Amsterdam is the best place ever. I feel truly at home there. If you are adult size 5.5 or under you can get them from Foot Asylum in the teen section, they have converted the Nike sizes to UK sizes which is so helpful. Let me know if you decide to get them!

Aw Bee, you look so cool! 🙂 I feel the same way about Nordic countries like Denmark & Sweden in general, I feel like I’d belong there!
