Emergency Happiness Giveaway | QueenBeady

Viking direct happiness package

For those who don’t know I am the monthly chat host of #HappySelves on Twitter. This is a once-monthly takeover of the wonderful #HealthySelves chat. I pick a topic that is light-hearted and upbeat and we all just chat away like we would with friends over coffee. It’s so lovely to have a chat on Twitter where there’s never an argument, everyone plays nice and we are also a support network for those who aren’t necessarily feeling 100% with themselves.

Sadly I have found myself on that spectrum this last week or so. I’m one of those people who is either a) flying high as a kite & loving life or b) I am filled with such self-hate and anger. The latter is where I have been bordering of late. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because I am just in desperate need of a holiday (who isn’t?) or the fact I’m struggling with the size of our small, 2 up-2 down house at the moment (I never thought the day would come where I would say I NEED ALL THE STORAGE!) But whatever this little phase is, it’s not great and I’ve been seriously down. When the wonderful Viking Direct stationers offered to send me a happiness kit I jumped on it. I needed a little ray of sunshine in my life.

When the package arrived on my desk, a cute box with sweets, lottery tickets, calming teas and colouring pencils came (perfect for my de-stress colouring book that I have turned to quite a lot recently) it put a little smile on my face. Okay, the box wasn’t brimming with extravagant purchases but the gesture was exactly what I needed. I even got a little penny too, to remind me that I always had money. How cute?

It got me thinking, a little happiness box can go a long way – I wanted to give someone the chance to win a happiness box too! So over the next few weeks I’m going to collate things that make me happy, that I also think someone else would enjoy too. Small actions can go a long way & I would love to pass on this gift of happiness to someone else. All you have to do is follow these instructions below link to be in with a chance to win – the winner will be contacted on the 7th September which is my next #HappySelves chat!

Happiness is always wonderful but the main reason I’d love to win is that I’ve been going through a lot lately and I feel like it would be something to make me smile when I haven’t been.

I feel you, with me it’s also either super happy, feeling sexy and giggly or sad, ashamed about my body, and melancholic .. Would love to win a happiness package, shame I’m not UK based! Good luck winning though!

What a really lovely thought, I think there are so many of us that could do with a sprinkle of happiness in our lives. I think I will need to have a look for your #Healthyselves chat. I have been having a hard time recently with some health issues and am coming up for surgery. I think this package would put a smile on my face. Thank you, I’m sure whoever wins will love this, and be really grateful for your thoughtfulness. Sending you happy thoughts. 🙂

Because its been a rough few weeks for my family and could use some cheering up! I have forgotten what happy is to be honest. Went to see inside out with my friend and she pointed to sadness and said it was me 🙁

Omg a happiness package is such a cute idea! My friend used to send out “care packages” to friends who went through break ups etc – it was so sweet she’d put in lots of chocolate and trashy magazines to take your mind off things!

Hope you feel better soon, don’t worry though it’s completely normal to have down days – we all have them and we all get through them and into happier times 🙂

I would love to enter and receive it so I could do a post on it myself, then pass on the idea by sending someone else one!! 🙂

My boyfriend is under investigation for chronic fatigue syndrome. All our plans have been put on hold, we can’t even go out for dinner, let alone think about marriage and children at the moment. It’s my birthday on Thursday and I know he won’t be able to do anything with me. A little package would make me so happy!

That package is such a lovely idea! I’ve been like that lately too, it seems there’s no happy medium, I’m either really happy or feeling really rubbish! Maybe it’s the gloomy weather coming in?! Then last night, I had a run and sat in my bed with a chocolate pudding and Sex and the City and it really boosted my mood and helped to snap me out of it!
