As most of you know I’m on a bit of a fitness journey, you can read about why I decided to start this by clicking here! I’ve maintained the gym & swim twice a week which is giving me the real boost I need after a day sat around at work. I long for the minute, the second I can get out and make my way to the gym. It’s weird to think that over a month a go the thought of getting hot & sweaty after a long day at work would excite me, would be wizardry. But somehow, it’s working for me and my mentality.

I haven’t measured myself recently. I think I’m a little scared. I have fallen off the bandwagon with my home exercises. I’ve not been following the #30day challenges that I enticed a lot of you to join in, so I feel wholly embarrassed that I haven’t kept that up. The idea of doing a plank for over a minute nearly finished me off. Every day I’ll try fit 20 squats in, and I have done 60+ sit ups nearly every day too. So, I’m not a complete waste.

House of Fraser kindly sent me this wonderful Speedo swimsuit to coincide with my healthier lifestyle that I’m ensuing. I loved the way it looked on the model (and the fact it was monochrome so fit perfectly for me and my blog too!)  because she had curves in all the right places. It was inspiring for me. I don’t know about you, but new fitness wear makes me so excited. I was super excited to realise that Speedo swimwear isn’t quite as expensive as I had thought. As a lover of fashion it kind of motivates me more and to work harder when I am wearing nice new gym gear!

I’m back on the smoothies after serious drought of Almond Milk in the household. I suffered last week, I was not perky or motivated at all & to be fair I hadn’t felt too great since the bank holiday so now it’s really time to up the ante and make sure I stick to my plans more. Having lost at most 3cm on some of my measurements I want to try to lose another centimetre this week. This means working that extra bit harder as they do say losing your first bit is always the easiest as your body has a little ”shock period” So this next month is crucial to not feeling disheartened and just keep going.

I’m excited for tonight’s #HealthySelves chat as it will give me the opportunity to chat with you all again and really lift my spirits. Your fitness journey’s inspire me even more to do better and work harder! I’d love to hear from you if you have a wonderful workout for tummies. This is the area I’m struggling to budge. I’m so up & down like yo-yo? Let me know if you have any exercises or recipes that could help.

    I am joining the #healthyselves bandwagon after a week of cheese, carbs and beer in Portugal! I’ve got quite a few excess pounds to lose so I’m loving your fitness inspiration today 🙂 Have you ever tried Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred? Its hard work but has really helped me to tone up in the past! x

      I’ve not tried 30 day shred. I must look in to this, other people have suggested it too. Your suggestions always prove very good (honestly, I can’t thank you enough for the Gusto situ!) I might just look in to it.

    Good luck with your health and fitness journey. It can be such a tough test breaking out of bad habits (whether it’s reaching for junk food or opting for another night in front of the TV on the couch), but there’s few things more rewarding than pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. I’m so impressed that you do squats and sits up almost every day – I wish I had that willpower!

    I’ve been trying to get back into running recently, more for my stress and anxiety than my body shape, but I can’t deny if it helps me tone up in all of the right places then I won’t be complaining!

      Thank you – it’s great that so many people are jumping on the bandwagon, wanting to get fit & healthy. It’s motivating for me!
      I enjoy the gym too because of that reason, bad day in the office, don’t worry – sweat it out! Shit weather? Head to the pool and pretend you’re on holiday. There are so many ways to encourage yourself to do it 🙂
      So glad running has the desired effect on you. I struggle to run on the road but enjoy the treadmill!

    Speedo swimsuits are amazing aren’t they?! I had one a while back and if you really get into swimming I think they make such a difference, I am having such an exercise and food flop currently but healthy selves was such a great motivating chat xxx

      They are awesome, I had it on last night, headed to the gym and then there was a powercut in the local town so couldn’t go. I was super annoyed! Back to the gym tonight it is.

    Well done! It sounds as though you are doing so well with your fitness plan (I’m so proud!) It doesn’t matter that you haven’t measured yourself either…I always think it’s nice to go off how your clothes feel and how you feel in yourself – I try not too get to hung up on numbers haha! I’m thinking of trying swimming once a week…I just need a well fitting swimsuit ..something that straps the boobs down I’ve had so many horrific swimming experiences! I’m thinking I might treat myself to a Speedo one 🙂 xx Keep up the good work!

      Thank you – you are like my little fitness cheerleader that keeps me going. I had a bit of a naughty weekend with food, but ready to hit the swimming pool tonight. Time to test drive my speedo swimsuit. I went a few weeks ago (as been mainly gymming!) and the electricity had gone down so we couldn’t go in. So tonight is the night.

      Speedo’s are awesome! I was so surprised at the value of them!
