I like this outfit. Despite the fact it hugs all my larger areas, I like how effortless it seems. It’s grungy but somehow feels quite elegant. I also feel like I’ve piggy rolled in to Urban Outfitters and dived out again. Thus creating this outcome. I actually don’t feel 25 when I wear this.

We’ve been graced with some warmer weather these last couple of days which has meant I’ve ventured on to online shopping again to make sure that I have plenty of summer dresses to keep me cool during the long, summer days. eBay has become another firm favourite again. It’s always dangerous territory when my fingers get tapping.

My style is always evolving. I’ve never been a person who has a set style, I think that has become quite apparent to you when you flick through my various outfits of the day posts. I don’t want to get pigeon-holed in to the same thing day in, day out. I like the variety, after all it is the spice of life?

Sadly though, I am one of those people who refuses to dress to my body shape. I’m constantly praised for my β€˜β€™hourglass’’ figure. Something I struggled with as soon as my lumps and bumps began to appear. I’m not a Kimmy K gal, who wants to wear tight, figure hugging outfits. I’m always desperately trying to grasp on to that 17 year old skinny me.

Do you suffer trying to dress for your shape but not wanting to conform to the norm or what magazines say you should wear? I hope I’m not the only one!

My style has definitely evolved over the years but I definitely think that is a good thing! I dont even know what I should be wearing for my shape haha, probably not the right thing but it’s all about what you feel comfortable in! xx

I think I’m the same, I don’t really know what I want to achieve. I just throw things on and hope for the best! LOL! Tighty tighty skirts aren’t really me? That’s what they say I ”should” wear? Nah-ahhhh!

Aw thank you Abbie! It’s crap isn’t it, trying to dress a body shape that deviates from the straight up and down or not a ‘Simply Be’ or ‘Evans’ shape either?! When will slim/curvy girls get a chance?

Oh will you stop being so bloomin’ stunning. You are literally like a high fashion model in these photos…though crossed with someone from Friends..haha I love it. And yep, I’m the same. Hourglass figure but am not into tight or revealing things so usually look bigger than I actually am! Hey, ho as long as I’m comfy!

It does have a total 90’s feel to it, doesn’t it?
It’s such a struggle to try and dress a body shape that is hardly catered for! It drives me up the wall!

You look amazing girl!! I love the hat too, I have one a little similar and they are so trendy at the mo. I always wish that I could have that straight up and down body shape in the magazines but I am starting to accept that I am never gonna be like that and to be happy with the body I do have… like you say though, it is hard when all the clothes seem suited to specific body shapes that I don’t really fit into!!

Aww Sarah, you are a sweetheart! Hats are such a great accessory. I feel like Audrey Hepburn when I pop it on! So classy & elegant.
I have to start accepting that too. I find it so difficult though? I have no idea why. This is my body, I have to learn to love it! Maybe I need to take a leaf out of your book?

I love that dress I am all over topshop at the moment it is HOT, I definitely don’t dress tight to my figure either I hate it, but I wouldn’t mind some boobies and then maybe I would πŸ˜‰ xxx

    1. QueenBeady Avatar

Haha, Jessica you have made me laugh so much! I have the boobies but I still hate getting all teeny weeny & tight!
