Leather Jacket Quiz Clothing |  Top C/O Vera Moda @ The Hut | Shorts Primark | Birkenstocks TK Maxx

Yeah, that’s right. There are my chunky thighs rocking some shorts. I’m armed with cellulite and I aint’ afraid to use it! Housewives of Atlanta Snap in yo’ face

On a serious note, I wanted to put together a more casual feel for a style post as I generally tend to have a more ‘’put together’’ look. So when the lovely team at The Hut got in touch to let me know they had some samples available to trial I jumped at the chance to take part. I love The Hut as it has some real quality brands that are available at an accessible price. I am regularly going glazy eyed over there promotional emails each week. However, this gorgeous purple t-shirt was perfect for the Festival season. Purple isn’t normally a colour I go for but it is quite a transitional colour in to the Autumn month. Oh, and words cannot describe just how comfy it is to wear? So much so (and strike me down for saying this!) but I can’t help slouch around the house in it because it just so cosy.

My new leather jacket was a purchase from Quiz Clothing when I won my voucher at the Blog Yorkshire Event which you can read all about here! My £50 voucher stretched a long way as I managed to blag this leather jacket which is extremely comfy and not too heavy if I just need a light jacket. I also got two dresses for the pleasure, one of which you can also read about in my blog called Bardot Babe!

My shorts were a little bargain from Primark a few seasons ago & of course my trusty Birkenstocks that I picked up from TK Maxx for £20 are an absolute staple in my life. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do through the Winter for footwear? I’m not sure I can get away with wearing my fluorescent pink Nikes to the office! So, I’d love to hear from you if you have any footwear suggestions for my poorly feet. I suffer from high in steps and if I wear flat shoes they start to drop and the only way to describe it is excruciating pain! So please do get in touch in the comments below!

Now I hope you have had a lovely fix of my wobbly legs and terrible Gene Simmons impression. Over & out!

I think you have a lovely figure – I’m short and stumpy myself, even at my smallest I always have thick thighs but anyways.. I have major feet issues myself. Something to do with my arch but I get confused by what I actually have.

When I wear heels the balls of my feet burn like they are on fire – I’ve been told it’s because my arches aren’t getting supported by the shoe? This doesn’t happen with wedges or platforms though. So it’s well confuzzleling.

I use to have the prettiest pastel Birkenstocks, but the inward curve bit on the inside killed my foot so much I had to get rid of them 🙁

The only times my feet aren’t in pain or do t get blistered up is when I wear my uggs or converse or block heels. It really pisses me off haha xx

      Hi Catia,

You must suffer from the same thing as me? I’m not sure if it has a medical term (I’m sure there will be some sort of latin name for it that I won’t be able to pronounce!) but yes – I was told it was a ”dropping in-step” as I have unusually high in-steps (writing this and thinking about it is making me squirm a bit!)

I am definitely investing in some pretty Birkenstocks before I head to Egypt in December so I can have comfy feet. Best pair of shoes in a long time! If you know where a girl can get a bargain pair, let me know!

God knows! My feet bloody annoy me, one person said I had a flat foot (?!?) another said I have a high in step, all I know is that my arches are never fully supported. Maybe I’ve even got it wrong. Actually when I had my Birkenstocks many years ago I got them from TK MAXX, but I always go to ebay for EVERYTHING! Xxx

Headed straight to my trust eBay when I read this, why did I not think of that before? Silly me!

Fingers crossed I can get a nice pair before I go to Egypt! My foot is hurting a lot today. I wore my Nikes to work yesterday for more support and my feet obviously got used to them… Ooops!

          Have a lovely weekend!

You have a lovely figure, when you find some office shoes please tell me to I’ve tried more expensive Marks shoes, cheapy Primark ones and all of them have ended up with the same result I’ve just resorted to black boots! Everyone needs a good quality pair of black shoes though (gosh I sound like my mother!) I forget about Quiz clothing I’m sure there’s is a store here…or maybe it’s a Select I get confused.. xx

      Hi Rinica,

You are TOO kind! I shouldn’t complain, but since the wedding I can see my thighs growing at an over-exaggerated speed! I just need to work out a little bit and then fingers crossed it will disappear!

Ha, don’t even joke. Long gone are my days wearing crazy & wacky shoes. I now have to put comfort first! What are we like?

I’m thinking I might head to Clarks. Sadly, with my symptoms I can’t afford to scrimp on a pair of shoes so I might just have to look at spending a little more to get the comfort of an orthopaedic shoe (NOW, look who looks like not only a monther, but a NANA?! HA!)

You know oddly enough I was on about this the other day how there really is a market for an orthopaedic shoe that’s still stylish I mean some of the ones they show you…I had to try not to laugh! xx

Maybe this is our calling? Tap in to the orthopaedic fashion shoe industry? Ha!

On the subject of feet, I just remembered something after reading about the orthopaedic stuff ha! When I used to temp at Harrods it messed up my foot so badly for 2 years cos we had to wear heels, (one girl had cuts so bad her feet were bandaged up) that in the end everyone ended up going to clarks and found their shoes were fine (I ended up wearing trousers that were just the right length where you couldn’t see my heel and began wearing contraband shoes instead) so maybe Clarks could be the answer?!? 😉 x
