New job, fresh start & achieving dreams | QueenBeady

I am so so so so sooooooo happy to announce that I have been offered a job within the Events, Marketing & Digital experience industry. I of course accepted!

I have been in travel for nearly 8 years & if you go back to my very first blog post I go on & on about it and I love(d) it. Sadly, everything has changed. Now, I am not adverse to change as I have embraced it with my new job, however the changes made in my company were big (& bad!) I was ready to fly the “travel nest” and finally do something I have wanted to do for quite some time. I have toyed & toyed with the idea and when I finally found this job advertised I knew I had to get an interview.

I don’t have fancy university degrees (however, I applaud you if you have!) which has made me feel slightly inadequate at times, but I have just proved to myself you don’t need to do that to fulfil your dreams & passions. I worked hard on both my interviews and especially my 2nd. I made a presentation & everything, (left no stone unturned!) and it really paid off & I am so delighted that they gave me the chance and opportunity to bring my skills to the role.

I get even more excited when I see why clients they have worked with too! It is a dream come true & I just cannot wait to get stuck in on the 31st March.

My new journey & adventure begins so BUH BYE travel industry!

Aw thank you Amy! I did work hard, I had to – I’m so glad that they saw past all my travel training! People often dismiss me because I have no other experience but trust me I have the passion! Thanks again ☺

Ohhhh thank you so so so much ☺ I did work my butt off for it. Sadly employers can never see passed my travel experience & give me a chance. This is what I want to do & I’m so happy they have seen that I’m capable! Oooh I will be coming to you for advice then. I’m in London Town next Thursday xxx

It did. Went in to shadow them yesterday so I can’t wait to get stuck in soon.

No more London for me. I was going to an exhibition but not now as they canceled. The manager is heavily pregnant and not such a good idea driving all that way & walking all day!
